Some top paying, profitable adsense keywords

A few weeks ago while doing some keyword research for one of my hubs, I stumbled on some very high paying adsense keywords completely by accident. My plan was to write a hub for each one, sit back and retire as the Adsense earnings came rolling in, but as often happens with the best laid plans, life got in the way! I realised there was no way on earth I was going to have the time to write so many hubs, especially on topics I would need to do a great deal of research on.

So I thought to myself, after sitting on these keywords for all these weeks, I would be happier just sharing them with the HubPages community and relieve myself of the burden of them!

How to use these high paying adsense keywords

In my opinion the best way to benefit form these keywords is to choose 2 or 3 that are closely related such as:

  • sell your house and rent it back
  • sell house to rent back
  • sell and rent back house

Then write a hub on that topic. It could be about the benefits and the pitfalls of this kind of solution to money problems. Think about why someone might be considering such as drastic solution to their problem e.g. to stop repossession of their home. Try to look at the problem from their point of view in your hub.

If it's a topic you don't know much about then do some reseach. Google news articles are a good way to get up to date information. Do a search on the topic you want to find out about.

Make sure the article you write is going to be of use to the reader and not an article just stuffed full of keywords! if your reader finds it useful they will probably bookmark it and this counts as a back link which is good for you. If your article is just spam, google will rank it down and you won't get any click through = no money!

Even though your primary purpose is to earn money still put in the effort and make sure your hub is well written and worth reading. Ensure your article or hub is content rich and that the information you provide is valuable to the reader.

Keyword/key phrase placement

There are several things you will need to do to make sure that google can find your article or hub and rank it well. If it ranks well, it will bring readers who want information on the topic you have written about, to your hub. The more people that can find your article or hub, the more clicks you are likely to get and therefore, the more revenue potential your hub has.

  1. Make sure one or two of your selected keywords are in the URL when you create your hub.
  2. Also, make sure one or two keywords, are in your hub title.
  3. Get your keywords in the first couple of sentences of your first text capsule.
  4. Add the keywords, as well as any others you have found that relate to the topic, as tags.
  5. Focus on your couple of keywords and make sure they are in the body of text in the rest of your article - but don't over do it!
  6. Edit the SUMMARY TEXT for your Hub. This is what the reader will see when they use a search engine. It needs to be punchy and also needs to contain your top keyword phrase as close to the beginning as possible.

Where to find more high paying adsense keywords

Whenever I'm looking for good keywords I go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

I find this tool really useful because it shows you how often the keyword or keyphrase is being searched for per month both locally and globally, how many sites already use the keyword (when it's completely blue that means it's saturated ie: loads and loads of sites are trying to rank well for that keyword), and of course, the average cost per click (to the advertiser).

What you're looking for, in an ideal world, are keywords that:

  • are not saturated
  • that are getting healthy numbers of clicks - over a few 1000 per month minimum
  • which have a high cost per click.

Wordtracker is another keyword generating tool that is expecially good for finding niche keywords but the full package comes with a price tag. I used the 7 day free trial when I was first doing keyword research for my website and found it really useful.

To try and find really high paying keywords think about businesses that make lots of money. The higher the potential return for the advertiser, the more the click will cost, so if there is a high chance of the person purchasing that product or service it is worth it to the advertiser to spend a lot on advertising.

So for instance a mortgage company may pay adwords $10 per click, or in other words per visitor to their site, but if that person buys their mortgage product they will make far more out of the customer and the cost of the click will pale into insignificance.

High Paying Keywords is a "myth" and it's simply not the way you make big money with Adsense. I know because I have made obscene amounts of money with Adsense. I've been doing for more than 6 years. And I am not talking about just HubPages. I make my money on a large content network my company owns. Just targeting a supposed high paying keyword does not insure you that you will make money. Google uses a number of factors to determine payout. So you may have a high paying keyword and someone may click and it could pay $10 and Google may just keep $9.95 for themeselves! http://hubpages.com/hub/Adsense-Discover-EXACTLY-H

These are really interesting, but there may be a glitch for us Yanks. Endowment means something different here I think.

In the US an Endowment is a big pool of money that an organization like a university draws income off of typically without touching the principal so that the money lasts forever. I don't know for sure, but I'm betting the equivalent word over here is "annuity" which is when you give an insurance company a bunch of money and they give you a steady income stream until you die.

This raises a curious question. Would this improve or hurt your earning potential? On one hand, you would not be competing with any US websites. On the other hand, you would not be getting any US users either. I wonder...

Hub Llama - you're right. An endowment in the UK is a type of mortgage based on an insurance plan.
