Make money from home takes work but it can be done

Do your research
I began to seriously consider working from home about a year ago. It's been a roller coaster ride and one that I haven't completely conquered, but I've learned a lot a long the way.
I am sure I don't have to tell many of you, there are a lot of scams out there. I am leery of anything that requires me to spend a lot of my own money. It just make me nervous. The next discouragement was learning that many of the jobs require direct sales. I've never been much on giving or receiving a sales pitch, so I knew that wasn't for me.
But, as I looked deeper, I've discovered quite a few places that might actually work. If you don't check out Good Morning America, you should - if you're serious about your search to find work from home opportunities. They have a great ongoing segment on the topic.
The news program suggests several sites you can check out for a work from home opportunity that works best for you.
Another great resource, Women for Hire, lists several work from home oppotunitites that are legitimate and don't cost any money. Some may require a minmal fee to upgrade your phone system or computer to the desired spaces. You may also have to purchase a headset and you must have high speed internet.
For me, there were a few great opportunities in writing. If you like to write and if you're decent at it, you can make a decent income. It can be slow at first, the market is saturated with writers. And the pay isn't always the best, but if you string enough of them together, you're in business.
I'd love to hear how you do, good luck!

The market IS saturated with writers. The good thing for some of us is...a lot of them aren't very good. A good writer- and by your blog, I'd say you probably are- can make good money once their name is out there. Or, even a half way decent writer, if they actually manage to turn in their assignments on time. Good hub!
