Create Exercise Excitement

Exercise is activity to train or develop the body or keep it healthy -Gage Canadian dictionary

Exercise seems like such a tortuous chore after running amok at work or busy home life and understandable for some. Others see it as a hazard for ones overall well being and nothing wrong with this concern. We can all do things that are not necessarily a rigid 30 minute routine of this, that or the other thing.

I go outside and spend time

-- sliding down a hill

-- walk my dog

-- ice skating

-- snowshoeing

-- snow ball battle

-- skiing

That's just some for winter. Summer offers :

-- rollerblading

-- cycling

-- swimming

-- canoeing

-- tennis

-- basketball

-- pedal boats

There are many activities outside your door but my personal favorites, dancing and hiking, irregardless of the season.

Exercise should be fun, exhilarating and spontaneous. Outdoor fun offers scenery for the senses, fresh air and opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new friends. So make a list of your favorites and take a good look around your area to see how best to implement a fun and healthier lifestyle for you and your family! If indecision strikes then flip a coin or roll the dice.

Exercising our bodies will help keep that boyish or girlish figure, help control various illnesses and the sunshine helps the chemical process of boosting our vitamin D. Excellent for our bones! not to mention the rise of endorphins in our brains and overall sense of pride and feeling good fuzzies! Grab your water bottle, camera or camcorder and go have fun!

I can't seem to maintain a regular exercise schedule for long. It gets boring after a while. And expensive, too! :P

Hi Susan Ng, I agree about costs of gyms but outdoor fun is so much more refreshing. Give it a try. Put on some rollerblades and you can jus cruise along n even dance with your iPod ;)

I would love outdoor fun, DS. But the outdoors here aren't so much fun, if you know what I mean. :P I wish we had free nature parks and places like that in the city. :)

Hi KCCBigCountry, I thought a little humor should be added to the Hub, glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing and your visit.

SusanNg, I am sorry to hear there are no open spaces but one can still rollerblade down the street but even walking around is great too. Thank you for sharing your comments and your visit. :)
