Making Hubs prettier part 1: Bullets
63Lesson 1: Bullet points
Hubpages allows no HTML. We all know that (I hope) and for those of us who are used to alternate websites ,such as blogger, squidoo, and wordpress , not having the ability to use HTML can actually be a bit on the annoying side. After all, how do we make the hubs prettier?
Why, with very carefully made pictures of course!

If - like me - you don't like using plain text for your numbered lists, you've probably thought about using graphics. For those who do not wish to make their own, there are plenty of free buttons - including...

Shouldn't they be on the other side?
First you have to remember that, in hubpages, images go to the right of text. This of course makes custom bullet points a bit strange since we're used to having them
- like this
- However those bullets are ugly and many of us prefer custom ones
- but we can't use custom images inside the text capsule
So the only solution is to make custom bullets for the right side. Now in order to balance this, the solution is to make big bullets, or in my example - arrows.
First Step
Write your text!
Since Hubpages automatically resizes pictures, it's easier to write your text first - and fully finish it until you're completely sure that's the final version - and THEN you can think about making bullets.
Part 2
Pick a Color Scheme!
In this hub I used black, gray, and white because those match Hubpages' colors but you don't have to! After all once a person starts to read your hub, they can't see the topbar so they won't notice the black, which means you're free to do ANY color scheme you so choose (within reason)
Part 3
Put a Photo capsule in
Put a picture capsule above the text capsule, then tell the picture capsule to go to the right.
If you think I'm speaking gibberish, there's a handy dandy slideshow below!
The rest of the tutorial is on the slideshow!

Thanks ^^. When you love to use special bullets like I do, you have to figure out ways to get around any other restrictions.
Though it'd be cool if we had a bullet module...It'd be a transparent module where you could upload a bullet pic, and it'd end up replacing all of the bullets in the following text module. Dunno if it'd be possible but a girl can dream right ?
