There are several ways to use Google Cash Detective 2 to make money with Clickbank products.  Clickbank is great because they have a ton of products, and anyone can join and become an affiliate.  Once you have logged into your account, go to the GCD2 search bar, type in http://*hop.clickbank.net and select the URLs radio button.  This will search the GCD2 database for all the ads that affiliates are using to promote Clickbank products.  You will see a list of destination urls returned (1535 results when I did the query).  That is a little too many to work with, so sort by clicking on the keywords column.  Affiliates that are promoting with the most keywords are likely to be the most successful Clickbank marketers so it is a good idea to check them out first.  To do that, just click on one of the first few results.

Now you will see a bunch of ads that this particular advertiser is running for Clickbank products.  You will have a ton of results, so sort the results by clicking on the Profitability Index column.  This is a GCD2 metric that calculates how profitable an ad is by looking at things like how consistently an ad shows up in Adwords and for how long.  As a rule of thumb, you should look for ads with a profitability index greater than 2000.

Once you have located some profitable ads, what should you do with them?  You could plug in the keywords and ads and try to outbid this person on Adwords with your own direct linking campaign.  However, since his Adwords account probably has a lot more history than yours, he will probably beat you unless you have a huge budget.  So you should consider taking a different approach. 

The first thing you should do is note the ad copy they are using.  For ads that have been running for a long time, you know they must be getting excellent click through rates.  Especially if the ads are showing in the top the results.  Next, record all the profitable keywords that the person is using.  You can then plug these keywords back into Google Cash Detective and see who the best affiliates are for the keywords using the same procedure.  The important thing is to see what landing pages these people are using.  If they are using a review style landing page, then try creating a similar one yourself.  It really is that easy. With your knowledge of the best ad copy, keywords, and landing page, it should be no problem at all to create a profitable Adwords campaign for yourself.

If you are a member of any CPA networks, you can also use Google Cash Detective 2 to find successful affiliates with the tool as well. All you need to do is login to your CPA network account and see what the format of their tracking url is. For example, Hydra Network urls all start with http://www.lynxtrack.com. For Azoogle, the urls start with http://x.azjmp.com. Some networks like NeverblueAds actually have multiple tracking urls, so make sure you know what they are before you search. Once you have the tracking url, you can do a URL search in GCD2 and find all the profitable direct linking ads running on your favorite CPA network.
