Making Money Writing for Triond
66Ideas Are Worth Something
Triond makes it very easy for anybody to earn money by writing. In fact, it's as simple as signing up, writing, and waiting for the results. If you have a few good ideas, you will get paid.
But this won't really make you much money. There's more to it if you plan on actually earning a side income through your efforts.
Quality is Profitable
If you want to be successful through Triond, you're going to want to brush up on your writing skills a little bit. If your writing reads as though your fingers spewed thought vomit onto the page, then it's going to show on your earnings report.
The number one most important thing any writer can do is edit their work. This is important regardless of where your work is published. On Triond, there is a large community that spends a lot of time reading each other's work. This means writers are going to be reading your work.
You don't have to be the best, but you have to be at least average.
Quantity is Super Profitable
Now if you're already writing for quality, you're going to want to work on beefing up your portfolio. The more work you have available, the more chances you have for people to read it.
Even an article that you don't do anything to promote will net a couple views a day on Triond. if you have enough articles, the pennies you're earning can add up. Five cents a day from one article may not be something to brag about, but five cents a day from a hundred starts to sound a little bit more appealing.
Just don't sacrifice quality, and you'll be okay.
Networking is the Profitable-est
Okay, so profitable-est isn't a word. It doesn't even work as a faux word without that little hyphen in between, but give me a break here.
So, you have piles upon piles of articles posted up on Triond. You have ensured the quality is at least average, and you're making a bit of money each day. Wonderful. But what can you do other than writing to make more money?
It's simple. Show people your stuff.
Sure, you can show your family and friends, but that's no fun. They probably don't care. And plus: they'll be nice no matter what. Forget them.
Use social networking to your advantage. There are piles of options to help you get moving on this:
- Twitter.com - My personal favourite. If you actively participate, you can grow a following number in the thousands. One tweet amongst friends can help spread an article like wildfire. (If it's good.)
- Digg.com - Digg is a little more specialized. But that's okay. If you spend some time on this site and pay attention to what becomes popular, you have the potential to write an article that can make thousands of hits. The front page of Digg is where web-royalty resides.
- Reddit.com - Pseudo-digg. Same rules apply.
- Facebook - I refuse to even link Facebook because you already know where to find it. I have a profile specific to writing. Pen name and all. I like keeping things seperated.
There are several other options, but these are some of the best. Just make sure to tinker with your strategy to find what works best for you. Nobody's truly an expert on social networking, so don't fall for the hype.
The true beauty offered by these sites is the opportunity to build a network of friends that truly enjoy your work. If you go about it properly (READ: do not spam) then you will build a following for your work. It's not unheard of to have people ask you when your next article will be available.
Take Part in the Triond Community
Triond has an amazing community of writers. They all enjoy what they do, and will critique your work if you ask. They might even be helpful about it. Take part in the forum conversations. Make friends. Comment on the work of others. This is what makes Triond truly great, so make sure you take advantage of it.
I hate to say it, but this really is all there is to it. I know that you wish it was a bit more complicated so you could learn the tricks of the trade, but it isn't.
The only thing you can do beyond the tips quoted here is improve your writing skills. Nobody's perfect. You can always get better. I know I can.
