I believe that we all are earning between $1 and $5 from hubpages in our adsense account. If you are not able to generate any revenue then you must be doing something wrongs with yours hubs.

I will show you how we can start earning from hubpages, and for those who are already generating some revenue I have few tips that can help them to increase their revenue. I am not going to tell you basic things like how to join Adsense, eBay affiliate program or Amazon affiliate program. These types of basic things have been already discussed in forums and mentioned in many hubs. 1. Use of duplicate content: Duplicate content is enemy of your hub score. We must not copy content from other websites to make our hubs. More unique the content is more is the hub score and more is the popularity of you hub. Only success to have a good hub score is unique idea and content. Combination of good and unique content will increase three things mentioned below:

• Traffic: Number of visitors to your hub will increase day by day.
• Life: Unique content lives forever. This thing is also referred as evergreen content.
• Revenue: High the quality of hub is high is revenue from that hub. A Good Hub Can Generate Revenue for a Long Time, as said by Chuck in his article “How to Increase HubPage Income by Cultivating Your Hubs”.

Oh my God…. You still want to use duplicate content? Okay, I have few tips which can help you to make your duplicate content look like unique.

• Make it 80% unique: Do not copy whole content from single website. Copy the content from different websites. Shuffle and arrange the content in such a way that the topic goes in same flow. You content should not look like this one “What is laser hair removal? Laser hair removal can be done in many ways like electrolysis, Ultimate pulsed light and blah blah blah”.
• Images and Videos helps in making content unique: Sometime the content of your article is not of high quality or may get penalty by search engines because of duplicity which leads to low search engine ranking and less traffic. In such situation we can add images and videos to make content unique. When people search for images or videos, there may be a chance that you get traffic through the images you have used on your hubpages. 40% of traffic on hubpages comes through images and videos. More the images you include more is the chance of traffic coming through them. I had seen many hubs which have images and videos, but still they cry for high score and traffic. Reason behind this is, that search engine can’t read images. They don’t know what image is about, for this in html we have ‘title tag’ which is used to tell search engine that image contains xyz related thing. Please make it a habit to fill title tag when you upload any photo to your hub.
• Hire a writer: Some time it’s good to hire a professional writer to write for you. Give him the content you have collected from different websites and ask him to make it at least 95% unique. As you will pay him for the work he will be doing, so there is no harm in asking him to make content unique as much as possible.

Do not buy or use article writing or spinning software’s that are sold by thousands of people on web just to make fool of other people. These tools are of no use and make article look like branches of tree ‘One line is going this way and another is going in just opposite way’.

2. Little or no content: This is second type of mitake we all do in our hubs. I have seen many hubs just containg photos of famous celebrities. These types of hubs gets less traffic and have a short life, after that the traffic drops. To get consistent traffic we must include minimum 300-500 words of content.

3. Unrelevant titles and Incorrect titles: Many of just want to create a new hub without planning what content should go into that hub.I had seen many times that bikes hub also contain cars and Britney spears page also includes unknown personalities. Any search engine is not fool, they judge the quality of article and content. Second thing they match is relevancy of title and content. Please always post interrelated things only to get listed on top of search engines. Few of us also make mistake while setting up url of hub. Wrong urls can also lessen your incoming traffic. Only 1 or 2 percent chances are their that you will get traffic from typo urls. You need to be lucky enough to get such type of traffic.

4. Links in first paragraph: Other mistake what we make is including too many links in articles.The visitor who comes through search engine visit the page and read two three lines and and click on the links and leave hubpages without even reading entire article. Are we fools???? We write 400-2000 words article spending lot of our precious time and we include links just after first or second line in starting paragraph. Links should always come after 3^rd paragraph so that visitor should atleast read 70% of the content.

5. Outdated Content: I had seen that my hubs don’t recieve same traffic as i use to get when i first time publish them. Decline in traffic is due to outdated content. If your hub is getting comments then you need not worry about outdated content as your hub content is automatically updated through comments, but if your hub is not getting content then you must update or make some changes in content so that search engines always find something new on your hubs.

These are just few mistakes what we all do while making hubpages. If we treat hubpages as our child then we can get good scores and revenue.

1.Treat hubpages as your family: Add you fans, leave comments on their hubpages so that they also leave comments on your hubs. In eyes of search engine, comments do not show popularity of hubpages, but it shows content is changing or updating.

2.SocialBookmarking: Do social bookmarking of hubs to increase visitors. Use Digg, Stumbleupon, myspace and other social sites to get traffic from them.

3.Forums: Forums are good source of traffic. Join few forums and share your hubs there. Don’t do spamming on forums as administrator of forums will ban you in few days. Make good replies and start new discussion in which your hub link can be included as refrence.

4. Article Submission: Do article submission and include your hublink to get traffic from these traffic generators.

5. Backlinks: I had seen that just few of us do backlinking of hub. Even i don’t do. Backlinking is also good to increase hubscore and traffic. Backlinking is time consuming so only few of us use this method.

Their are other methods also which i will add in this hub only. Hope you will follow the points mentined above and will avoid doing the mistakes. These things will definately improve your hubscores and revenue.
