Making Layotus for Myspace
Alright here it is everyone, making layouts for myspace! Now I am sure a lot of people have learned how to do this, but i thought for those of you who don't know, would like to learn, and really it's very simple once you get the hang of it.
I started doing this about five months ago, and it has became just another thing that I love to do. My friend has a layout myspace page called Just for you Creations and we make anything from layouts, snags for your site, and customized offers. I will explain what all this is in a moment but first I would like to explain a little further on how to actually start making them.
First your are going to need to get some form of photo editing, my favorite to use is Corel Paintshop Pro, and there you can get a free 30 day trial download to try it out and see if you like it. You can also try Adobe Paintshop I've heard great thing about that as well.
Next you will need to create a Photobucket, or and account where you can upload things that you've made, and find photos, and they will have codes that you can use to put together your layouts.
Finally the last thing that you'll need is a free myspace layout generator, and the best one that I've found would be Mylayouthost. With this site you will be able to create your layouts by choosing, create a layout, and then once your done you'll take the code and go to Add New Layout, and then it will upload your layout, or you can take what you've made and post it into the about me section of your myspace.
To make the contact tables and network banners for your mysapce are actually quite easy. First for the contact table, you'll find an image that you want to me the background, or you can have just a solid background thats up to you. You'll open up an new document on which ever photoshop you decided and make the size 300x150 and you'll add to it Message Me, Add Me and what ever else you'd like.
Then with your network banner you'll want to make a document no bigger then 500x500. And you'll again select and image and add text and designs, its really up to you, this is just the basic jift of how to make things.
After you have made everything, your going to want to go to photobucket, or which ever photo generator that you've chosen and upload your creations there. Then you'll want to open up Mylayouthost, and create your layout, and a new window will pop up. You can add background colors and when you go to add your background images, contact tables, and network borders, you'll need to go to photobucket(or other) and use the direct link so the images will show up.Then choose your fonts, colors etc, then get the code and copy and paste it into add new layout section of mylayouthost or which ever generator your using.
Lastly I'll explan to those of you who don't know that snags are just little things that people make that are cute that go on your site, and offers are customly made for you by the designer. For example they will make something with a picture and some graphics, and then offer it to you, using your own picture. Its pretty fun.
Well I hope this has helped all of you with your layout making. There is a lot of great design sites on myspace. Here is a few for you guys to check out:Icons, tags and snags, Just for you Creations,Truly Loving Creations, Sweet Loving Designs and many more.
Sorry and one more thing, if you do end up getting paintshop pro you can look for tutorials on myspace and on google or yahoo for helpful tips on how to use the program, and get you familiar with it.Again I hope this hub has helped you.
