Most of us have made S'Mores around the campfire at least once. Some of us make them every chance we get, including in our own backyard fire pits. There is something about that gooey chocolatly treat that is hard to resist.

Not everyone has a firepit in their backyard and lets face it. You can't excatly camp year round.

• Graham Cracker
• Hershey's Chocolate Bar
• Marshmallow

Melt marshmellow either over flame or by other heating methods. Place chocolate bar pieces on top of graham cracker, marshmallow on top of that, and cover with another piece of graham cracker. Wolloa. Instant S'more

There are a variety of ways to cook a S'more indoors. Here are the basics.

• Microwave

The quickest and easiest is the microwave, but lets face it, have you seen how big that marshmallow gets in the microwave. Ever wondered how long it takes to make a marshmallow microwave disaster? Plus the graham cracker gets soft and the chocolate doesn't melt fast enough before the marshmallow gets too big. If you do choose this method, watch your treat carefully during cooking. Set the cook time to no more than 30 second intervals.

• Toaster Oven

A more appropriate method, but still boring. Be sure to line the toaster oven tray or rack with foil. Place your S'mores on it and cook away. Keep a close eye on your S'mores. You do not want the marshmallow to drip onto anything other than the foil it sits on

• Cookie Sheet In The Oven

Cook at a low temperature on a foil covered cookie sheet. This method is good for making mulitiple S'mores

• Frying Pan

Keep the heat on around medium and careful to keep the marshmallow in side the S'more. Otherwise, you'll have a mess to clean.

• Bar-B-Que

Not exactly indoors, but the closest thing to an open flame using something you already have. Just don't drop the marshmallow. They can do havoc on your grilling stones.

Change up from the basic and switch some of the classic ingridents

instead of graham cracker try:

• Cookies (experiment with different types)
• Ice cream waffle cones
• Vanilla wafers
• fried flour tortillas

Instead of Hershey's Chocolate bars try

• Reeses
• KitKat
• Oreo's
• M&M's
• Peanut Butter
• Jelly
• Banaba

A indoor S'more maker will have much more enjoyable results than any of the above methods. Plus they are great for family desserts or parties and get togethers even just for the two of you on a night in. There are two types

• Fondue S'more Maker

The Fondue S'more maker is really no different then any other fondue set. They just look cooler. The premis is to melt the chocolate in the fondue pot and then dip in your marshmellow to cover it in the chocolate before placing on your graham cracker.

• Grill S'more Maker

With a Grill S'more maker your marshmallow will cook much like it would on the open fire. So instead of just having a warm melted marshmallow, instead your have the crisp toasted outer marshmallow with the gooey center.
