Really! Where does happiness live? "I want More"!

Wow.. this sounds as if it may be quite deep!

Well, being a clinical hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner I'm usually in the the company of depressives and people who really want to make some changes to their lives. Some in more need than others, but, still need help in some area.

This is why i'm writing this. People often say to me "i feel like this because someone acted in a certain way" or someone said "I Look Fat" and the million other things that other people do to make YOU feel bad! And then it occurred to me that regardless of the situation and the problem presented to me, people tell me that "someone else" made them feel a certain way.

The very first thing I go through with most of my clients is how to make YOURSELF feel good. Put YOURSELF in a good mood, and not rely on other to do so. Maybe you're thinking "Yeah but, sometimes people do make me feel bad" and you're right, we have no way of controlling the external influences and what other people put upon us, sometimes we are told things which maybe shocking, sometimes we are told things which make us sad. Yes of course feel these feeling and take from it what ever you can, it's when these feeling drag on and make us "Feel Bad" that we need to take charge and do something about it. For Us!

"Life's whatever we make it" a great person once said.
And I wholeheartedly take that on board.

"Whats the Meaning of Life?" The question on most of the populations mind!
Lets look at both together!
If live is what you make it, and then you have the opposing question, "what's the meaning of life?" Then to me, the meaning of life can be whatever you want it to be!

And!

"Life is a journey"
Again, another famous quote which on the outset looks a little "airy fairy". O.K. lets look at it in more detail. If life is a journey, which way do we go? how do we get there? when will we know we have it?

"The best things in life are free"
It seems, life is a lot of things, but what if all of the above could piece your life together. What if the meaning of life was within your grasp, what if you could have the life you want.

Lets try to some this all up!
Life is a definite journey, differant roads, different pathways, cross roads, accidents, delays. How many times have to started to travel somewhere with no ideas where you are going? .......You can't get somewhere unless you know where that somewhere is! Otherwise, you'd be anywhere! And that may not be where you want to be.

You make a destination, normally with an arrival time in mind, and you begin your journey. Your destination, because that's where you want to go! Whilst excepting there may be delays, there maybe hiccups along the way. This journey was what you made it, you can choose to travel bay car, train, bike, bus, run, walk, fly or even all of them. And in most cases we get there.

So what do we want?

  • Money
  • Freedom
  • Health
  • Happiness
  • Abundance
  • Fulfillment
  • Gratitude
  • Enjoyment
  • Assets
  • Cars
  • Property
  • Family
  • Friendship

If the only asset we had was complete happiness everyday, how much different would your life be?

If your one daily goal, was to be happy, and i mean really happy, not because someone made you happy, just because you deserve to be happy. Happiness comes from within and it is only you who can really let it out.

Could it be that, life is happiness, happiness comes from the journey to become even more happy everyday. Happiness is what we make it, and it truly is Free and available to us all.

How to find and encourage happiness.

Think of a time when you felt the most happy in your life?
Got it... Good sometimes it's easier to picture things when you close your eyes. (But read this first) Make the picture or movie brighter, view it through your own eyes, and bring back all of those wonderful feelings, are there any sounds? make them louder, and as you do allow the fantastic feeling to keep flooding back, immerse yourself back into complete happiness.

Keep on practicing this making it even more enjoyable, and there will be new times when you can change it to another time, which was equally powerful for you. Practice makes PERMANENT, and permanent happiness is that a good thing.
