Making those dull pictures exciting again
54Not everyone has video
It's a fact that many people don't have the sort of product that can have a video created from it. It might be that what you produce is static or maybe you're a photographer or artist - recording someone drawing a picture could be incredibly boring, so don't do it.
However you could create a slide-show and convert that to video - but how and why would you do this? Haven't tools like Light-box got these sort of things pretty much wrapped up? Well for your own website where you want to show a few images it might be enough, but in a few Hubs' time I'm going to show you how to leverage video using online storage sites, and things like 'lightbox' are far too 'interactive'.
You need passive, exciting video.
Images to video
I could have begun this Hub by listing all the great bits of software that allow you to create video from images, there are indeed many. But I'm just going to pile in and show you possibly the best tool ever to create compelling slideshows and the best thing is, for personal use it's free!
The tool in question is 'Animoto' and I'm going to show you exactly how to use it so you can start creating videos from your images really quickly. First of all, you're going to have to go over there and sign up.
Go here and click on 'sign up' to begin filling out your details:
OK, let's get creatin'
The easiest thing to do now is to start a new video and the following video will show you how to do that, but it goes something like this:
- Choose the images from your computer
Just upload them from your hard drive, all Jpgs but don't worry too much about the size or aspect ratio. - Choose some music
Again, you can upload from your computer if you have the copyright, but you can also choose some of their music - and it's a great range. - Create the video!

And here's what we got!
Below is the finished product, ready to be uploaded to all our video sharing sites to give us some lovely inbound links and up our rankings!
For more information on how to do this and increase your chances of click-through from video sites, see my other hub here.
