Rasana is the actress of the tv serial Parijatam being shown in Asianet. Parijatham is a malayalam serial that is running successfully in Asianet Channel. I too watch this serial whenever i get time. The name of actress in the lead role is Razana and she is doing double role as sisters. She has done the negative and positive role and the elder sister wears saree and the younger sister appears in churidhar and modern dress. Making the serials run for long time is a bad thing, it is really good if the serials had maximum 50 episodes like it was for doordarshan in the past

the serails are having a very good story in the beginning and when it suceeds i think the directors are going crazy and just dregging the story just for thier benefits. it is a real wastage of time.

It is not just the glamor of the actress attracting audiences. It is a very well made serial. The acting is superb. Particularly HEMA. Even in malayalam movies there are only male-dominated movies. The females are just added for glamor. Actors past Fifty years of age, with dyed hair and moustache, trying to pretend that they are young guys (around 30 to 35 ) is so TOTALLY DEPLORABLE. We never go the Cinema anymore. But as for Parijatham, Hema's acting ALONE takes the serial forward. The Cinematography is Superb. Being a Professional Photographer myself, I can say with confidence that the cameraman is taking much care. Have you seen photos of Hema in other angles? She does not look so good. Hence hats off to the cameraman who precisely knows how to exploit the assets of a woman. There is not a single bad shot of Hema. The same applies to the other actors also. Hence the serial looks very appealing to both women and men. Many of my fellow doctors watch only this serial on Asianet.
Doctor Balakrishna Varma you said it very correctly, she eventhough acted in malayalam album songs , did not look so nice. Now she is looking better and the camera man has made very good effort. Usually most of the programmes in asianet is better , because it has more picture quality.

sitcoms and soap operas....eeewwww.....i think the soap Bold n Beautiful is still running on star network...i used to watch it when i was in teens, supposed to be a juicy one with a lot of hot steamy scenes...but it was pathetic...who really follows the plot/story line of a soap??
it has been said that these so called mallu serials get their steam from everyday life, i remember an episode in the "mega hit" channel soap "Sthree" second part in which the producer/director decided to include an episode about the Kargil War when the actual war was going on, where so many brave men had laid their lives down for the country and so many wives lost their beloved husbands and so many parents lost their young brave children....what a pity!!....these so called serial producers are literally blood sucking leeches cashing in on the sentiments of ordinary people...i am sure it has eaten into the reading habits and creative ability of people, making them demented dimwits and make them couch potatoes and discuss the looks of "actresses"....and what's the qualification for these so called "actresses" to Act other than looking good, with the help of camera angles!!!

Yep, you are right. She's just finished Xth. But she is aged 17. And as you might have guessed, shes not a virgin. And therefore she is well paid for her just-very-normal role in Parijatham. Shalu Menon bought her into the serials. And ofcourse everybody knows about Shalu's "private" affairs with a well known Producer-Driver(ex-driver of a famous film actor).

I got into watching this serial "Parijatham", as my mom watches it regularly and I am left with no option than to see what is on the TV. Anyway, I like the serial and really appreciate the acting skill of the acterss Hema. She is doing the double role, but each role is unique and different than other. It gives an impression, that the two roles she is playing are really 2 different person. I really appreciate that! I am not a kind of person who is into watching serial. But I watch this, and hope it wont become boring in the future as other serials become in the long run.
