Man Denied Million Dollar Casino JackPot
63
A man deposited $1.50 into a Florida slot machine and the jackpot rattled off that he won $166 million. The casino officials as well as a computer expert came to the conclusion that the jackpot machine malfunctioned and therefore the man was denied his million dollar winnings. An undisclosed settlement was make out of court for about $2,000 as the most the machine was programmed to disburse out was about $2,500 of winning. The agreement reached was called a "Good Faith" settlement. The most that a jackpot at the casino was able to disburse out in winnings was $99,000 but since the man played his $1.50 at the $2,500 winning slot machine, that is what he has been awarded.
The computer expert said that a computer glitch occured that made the machine dispense $166 million after the man deposited his $1.50 into the casino slot machine. The man was denied the 166 million jackpot even though it would seem that he won it if the machine displayed the winning million dollar jackpot. It is unclear whether the case will be continued as the man settled for the thousand dollar payment as a consequence of the computer glitch. The man who supposedly thought that he had won the million dollar jackpot declined to sign anything agreeing to decline a $99,000 payout.
The name of the casino was the Seminole Hard Rock Casino located in Tampa, Florida. The winning amount the man who played the $1.50 looked like this: $166,666,666.65 He received after the computer expert took a look at the slot machine that had malfunctioned something that looked liked this: $2,000. Quite a difference in winnings. The man who played the $4.00 slot machine and thought that he was set for life, name was disclosed as Bill Seebeck. The name of the slot machine that malfunctioned into a $1.66 million jackpot is the Ultimate Party Spin slot machine. It has not been reported if the Ultimate Party spin slot machine has been repaired or if the news of Bill Seebeck computer glitch winnings spruced up the casino business in Tampa, Florida.
the findings of the computer glitch on the Ultimate Party Spin slot machine was made by the machine's manufacturer, the software provider and according to gaming industry standards according to the most recent report from the Miami New Times publication. Also confirmation of the malfunction of the $166 million jackpot winning was confirmed by laboratory test from a third party laboratory analysis. the Seminole Hard Rock Casino stated that its welcomes Bill Seebeck for future visits.

vrbmft, thank you for your comment. Bill Seebeck must be a nice fellow to settle so quickly and for only $2000.

Wow! I know that as I read, I would have been so disappointed!! Not sure what amount of money I might have settled for, but certainly would not feel good to settle for 2,000. Listen to my sense of entitlement!! Linda, you share some interesting stories here, and stories I would have otherwise missed. Thanks
