What is a Mancation?

If you are reading this, then you probably have heard the word mancation somewhere and it is likely that you - or a friend of yours has participated in at least one.

The concept of a mancation or my preferred word, a Man Trip is simple a guys-only vacation.

In other words, a mancation is any excuse to get away from the real world, hang out with other men who enjoy the same things and have fun - without having to worry about your wife, girlfriends, or other female companions.

It isn't that we don't love our women, it is that there are certain activities or places where we want to go and have fun that just don't fit into our normal, male / female lives.

Mancations may involve drinking lots of cheap beer, expensive whiskey, or sampling fine wines - or it can be dry. They can be cheap or expensive, in the country or in the largest cities. It is up to you and your friends on how you want to embrace your masculinity and have a good time.

Other terms for a mancation include:

  1. Guys Weekend - usually a shorter less intense mancation
  2. Guys Getaway
  3. Man Trip
  4. Boys Weekend
  5. Bromantic Weekend

10 Types of Mancations:

The following types of mancations should give you some great mancation ideas, but certainly don't feel limited to these genres if you want to try something different! After all, planning a mancation is almost as much fun as going on one.
