Why do people adore dogs more than some of the animals?

Honestly, I am a dog lover my self. But somehow, it intrigues me why I am so attach with dogs. I don't know for some, but it's so easy for me to fall in love with them.

Dogs as best friends is one common idea that can be consider by us even years ago. Buy why best friend? I guess, it's because of the helps it could give us. It's funny that even if we are here, dog lovers, still there are some who make fun of them and even killing them. :(
