Marble Mountain, Newfoundland, Canada
67Marble Mountain is located on the west coast of Newfoundland, Canada. It is in a small town called Steady Brook which is just minutes away from Corner Brook (Newfoundland's second largest city). The 1700 foot mountain consists of 37 groomed trails that range from easy to extremely difficult and within these trails are seven mogul runs, two glade runs and a terrain park. Beginner skiers beware, the bunny slope (Broadway) is small fries compared to the second easiest run (Country Road) as you will see in the trail map. The view from the top is amazing and I suggest non-skier/snowboarders to ride the lift to see it for theirselves (you can purchase a pass to do this).
There are many other snow adventures to do here as well. Such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, repelling, cross country skiing and so forth. A newer attraction to Marble is the zip tour, which consists of six zip lines over Steady Brook Gorge. I had done this in February of 2009. A lot of fun and of course the view was incredible.
