Margaret River is a picturesque country town close to some of the most beautiful coastline in Australia.
It is a mecca for wineries and surfers.
The beaches are a little way from the town centre which is small but has everything you want.
The wineries are some of the best in the country. Leewin Estate, where they hold the annual Leewin Concert and other great wineries of the region.
Theres the Margaret River Cheese factory, which makes yummy cheeses and yogurts.
Karri trees and the South West forests are some of the most amazing forest scenery in Australia.
Karri trees are tall majestic trees with a beautiful light wood. You have to visit to really appreciate their beauty.

I love Margaret River and the trip around to Albany, the coast up to Manjimup and Margaret River. There are great places all the way around. Great surfing too, you had better follow locals advise though.

I live in Perth but haven't really taken the time out to appreciate Margaret River yet. Or Rottnest for that matter. That's pretty silly isn't it. :)
