I have never been a super fan of Mariah Carey. Yes I know to some that might be considered crazy talk but I confess I have my issues with this Diva. Yes she is attractive, she is a fabulous singer, not so great actress but hey they can't all be and yes she does most of the time have a great figure. To some of the obsessed fans or not so obsessed you might consider me jealous.

Lets start with her attire shall we. Why is she hardly dressed all the time? Yes I know sex sells but come on already haven't we seen enough? She might as well not wear anything at all. Do you see this dress shes wearing she is about to pop out, literally.

I'm sorry to all you Mariah Carey fans but you must admit this was a fashion dont. We know shes beautiful and yes stacked as well but I don't want to see it. No No No!!!

It's not as if she dressed scantidly once in awhile I have no problem with that what so ever. I like to dress up and feel sexy once in a blue moon but if you were to look online I guarantee that 98% of the photos are all that way. I also know that her album covers are of her barely wearing anything. Once again I know that it probably sells better but isn't she filthy rich already?

Do you see a woman who seems to be damp as is just came out of the shower in her skivies but of course still has her perfectly done makeup. Wow that I wish I could look like but back to her. Do you see my point. Put some damn clothes on woman.

On to her success which she is very successful. I just typed in how much is Mariah Carey worth not that it is any of my business of course. What do you think it is go ahead guess. Did you guess? Ok here it is, $225 MILLION. I don't know about you but that is a bunch of crazy dough.

As you can see the new Mr and Mrs. Carey I mean Cannon have purchased this enomous house or mansion or estate if you rather. Yes, the Fleur de Lys (”lily flower” in French) is a humongous Beverly Hills mansion, but on top of that, it is considered the most expensive estate in the world it is listed for sale for $125,000,000 by Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International.

Zillow Mortgage Marketplace calculates a monthly mortgage payment of $525,790 based on a 30-year fixed loan at 4.82% with 20 percent down (according to rates March 19).

Holy cow batman once again a whole lot of crazy dough. I guess if you can afford it why not. I guess for us average joes it is just inconceivable. Not too mention what do you do with a house that size I mean come on.  

On to her movie career:

Glitter

The story itself revolves around a young girl who is given up by her alcoholic mother. She forms, along with her best friends from a foster home, a musical group, starting out as back-up singers, and progressing to their own group quite rapidly, after being discovered by a DJ (Julian Dice, played by Beesley). Dice helps get them a record contract, and acts as their producer as well as Carey's boyfriend. For no apparent reason, he turns from a seemingly decent guy into an out-of-control control freak.

I have never seen this movie for one because Im not a Mariah Carey fan and two I heard it was a disappointing movie. Although I generally don't follow what critics have too say about a movie the desire to see it was not there for me.

However, after seeing the trailer for the first time I actually might rent it.  

Somehow I came across this movie trailer called Precious with Mariah Carey in it.

Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire. The film stars Mo’Nique, Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe, Paula Patton, Sherri Shepherd, Nealla Gordon, Stephanie Andujar, and Grammy-winning artists Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz.

About the Movie Precious:

The film was written by Damien Paul and based on Sapphire’s 1996 book. The story concerns Precious Jones (Sidibe), a high school girl who is pregnant for the second time with her own father’s child. Illiterate and overweight, she is tormented by her classmates as well as by her abusive family. Her mother (Mo’Nique) uses emotional and physical means to keep her daughter imprisoned in her current environment. The film explores how Precious finds a way to overcome her seemingly no-win situation.

Mariah Carey's role:

Mariah Carey plays a dowdy social worker. She had to leave the diva at home to play this role. She wore no makeup, no revealing clothes no bling and I think she actually could pull it off.

I am very excited to see this movie which comes out in theaters November 6, 2009. Although I'm not a Mariah Carey fan I think her role in the movie will surprise us non fans.
