Marijuana. Why isnt it legal?

Ive never seen the big deal. My parents smoked it while I was growing up. They dont now but are somehow against it. I dont see why. How many times have you seen a pothead killing someone over money or his drug? How many people have you heard of dying from an overdose of pot? None. This is because it doesnt happen. Im not a hippie but this drug has got to be the least dangerous drug of all.
People in Oregon can get medical mj cards for something as simple as a little pain in their back. I have quite a few friends who have them. Some even supplement their income by selling their excess. I dont see anything wrong with that either. My last job didnt pay enough for me to buy toilet paper let alone pay my bills. I wish I couldve done some selling on the side.
If the government made pot legal, they would make money off taxes, instead of jailing people for something as minor as marijuana. They call it the "Gateway drug." Please. The real gateway drug is alcohol. Think about it.
What kills people every year? Alcohol or Marijuana? Alcohol is exactly right. Liver cancer is a huge deal. Cigarettes kill people more than anything. Yet, for some reason, alcohol and cigarettes are legal and pot is not. Smells like a conspiracy to me. And I dont even smoke pot. I just wish the people that wanted to would be left alone.
And a big P.S. I just recently discovered alcohol causes pancreatitis the hard way. Now Im stuck with chronic pancreas pain for the rest of my life most likely. Not from pot, from the drink. Now that I cant drink alcohol, I would LOVE to see them make it illegal. *giggles* If I cant have it, no one can!

A gurrl after my own heart, lol. Thank you for standing up for me the pot smoker. I have EAD (Explosive Anger Disorder) and pot is the only thing that I've found that sucks the anger out of me. That is a good thing when you just want to put your fist through anything that moves. I wish that they would just sell it by the pack collect their money and let me get high without fear of going to prison for some manditory sentence.
