- Exercise a lot: Preparing for Marine boot camp you have to make sure that you are in the best shape of your life physically since the physical training aspect of the campus is quite vigorous. One thing that you can do is up early every morning and take a two to three-mile jog. After about a week's time, start adding dumbbells into a backpack, since during Marine boot camp you will have to expect fines carry as much as 80 pounds well completing physical training.
- Learn to drink tons of water: it is actually amazing how much a recruit will have to drink during Marine boot camp training. - Learn to deal with massive amount of screaming into each of your ears at the same time : from one you'll have an instructor yelling and screaming at you. Don't let this get to you.the only reason that they are doing this is because there trying to mold you into the perfect soldier. They will call you nasty nasty names that you probably have never even heard of before.just unfocused while this is happening and realize that you are not the first person that has ever dealt with this sort of treatment and you will not be the last. Most people after basic training, All marine learn to appreciate the abuse that they had to deal with during basic training for Marine boot camp since they became much stronger soldiers because of it, mentally and physically.

This hub brings back memories. I used to be an ROTC officer and our unit belongs to the marines, so we did some exercises to boost our strength and stamina. We also underwent FTX with some reservists and we learned lot of things. I especially am amazed at the training of fresh marine applicants. They practice navy dozen exercises for an entire day! O.O
About the drinking lots of water, it's true. But during my mocc days, I rarely drink water and even if it was difficult, it increased my stamina, so that during my 2nd class days, I can virtually go through an entire day without drinking anything at all. :D
Lastly, about the massive amount of screaming...I am "proud" to admit that I only understood the importance of that practice when I did the screaming myself. :P But don't get me wrong, the screaming definitely made me strong. :)
