Content is King For Marketers
65
Marketers are learning quickly that content is king when it comes to offering their products to the general public online. Marketers are now placing as much emphasis on the content of their websites than the advertising and pubic relations department. Advertising is huge when it comes to the importance of getting the product to be second nature when a consumer has to make a choice on brands. Yet, BtoB, the magazine for marketing strategies reports that marketers are now placing their attention on the "content is king" concept.
Marketers are looking for work staff who are versed in editing and presenting the product in text in such a way as to increase the marketshare of the brand that they are promoting. Marketers are telling their work staff to spend all most all of their time, up to 40% of their work day producing quality content to put on the website for online customers. Attention is also being placed on these content generators to concentrate on researching and editing content for quality and relevance to information and feedback received from the social media networks.
Marketers are focusing more on their publishing efforts to get brand recognition online. Content usually consist of what is called white paper advertising, webinars and webcasts that attract the attention of the internet search engines. To generate sale leads with the internet community, marketers are requiring that quality and relevant content about the product, brand or service is offered. The content is king concept of marketing opens up such popular social networking sites as LinkedIn where there is a direct feedback between potential customers.
The marketers emphasis on the content is king marketing strategy has placed ad agencies in a competitive position as now competition is not necessarily between ad companies but between content and advertising platforms. Now that marketing is in the forefront of the digital stratosphere, content has come front and center as the channel most profitable to get brand recognition and valuable information about the benefits.
Marketers are saying that content is king over and above advertising because if you do not have anything that is valuable and relevant about your product, brand, or service, then you may be likely ignored. Marketers will have to invest in companies whose speciality is content writing or add a content writing department from their venture capital to connect with their intended market of buyers and consumers.

good article, I am often surprised at how well marketers make products appear. the commercials for credit report com- that was good marketing- my daughter sang it half the summer, and has it as a ring tone. I did not buy the service- but they did get the message out.
Sandwichmom, thank you for the idea of maybe adding the creditreport.com ad to Content is King for Marketers. Your comment is much appreciated.
Good Job Linda-
Hmjmr1, thank you for your comment.
By all means you can post it. Has anyone mentioned you have a striking resemblance to Demi Moore?
Carmen Borthwick, thank you for your comment. Before I was Demi Moore, I was a video game girl warrior. I like playing around with the avatar but I am serious about the quality and relevance of my hubpages :)
Thank you, Carmen, for allowing me to post your comment to my profile page.
