Tips 4 Marketing

Do you own a business? It can be a traditional one or an online business or even a network marketing business. If you are in business for yourself, good for you! This is the American dream. (other countries too) Work for yourself, no boss, etc. How is your business going? You working a ton of hours? Are you making ends meet? Are you seeing enough of your loved ones?

I have a few other questions. Do you have unlimited income potential? Would you continue having money coming in if, God forbid, you were injured. Can you make residual income. Residual means, simply, you have money coming in 24/7, when you're sleeping, eating, playing and yes, even when you're working. This is how people get wealthy. Creating something where they have money coming in all the time.

Last question. If for some reason, you were unable to work for one year, would you be able to sustain your current lifestyle?

Oops, one more. If you were unable to answer yes to all of these questions, would you be open to finding out how you can say yes to all of them. Not only that, would you like to know how all this potential residual income can be willed to your kids and grandkids?

If you would like to be able to say yes to these questions, consider if you will, the Network Marketing Industry.

Traditional businesses are great. I have one. But, there are downfalls to this. Here's my experience. I only make money if I'm actually present and working. If I want more money, I have to work more hours. If I get hurt, I can't work and no money is coming in. I get no sick days, paid vacations or health insurance. I have to pay my business expences before I pay myself. There are weeks where I take home no money. I should tell you, I do work at home, so my business pays for all my house expences and I can write off a lot, but I usually don't have any play money.

Thank God, though, that I work at home. Could you imagine if I worked somewhere else? I'd have to pay all my business expences first and then try to pay my house bills on top of that.

Network Marketing

This concept was introduced to me about 4 years ago. I'm one of the nieve ones. I'd never heard of it before. Oh, I'd been to plenty of home parties, but I never looked at the business end of any of them. In one way this was good. I had no preconceived idea's about it whatsoever. In another way this was not so good, because I had no idea that most other people DID have preconceived idea's about this industry.

I jumped in with both feet, completely blind to everything. I just knew that what I saw with the potential of this business. I was SO sure that everyone I knew would be flocking to my door to join me in business. Boy, was I in for the shock of my life. No one wanted to join me in business. I had a names list of 160 and out of that list I had one join me. She has sinced dropped out. Want to know why? No one wanted to join her. This was completely baffelling to me. Shocked just does not even come close to what I was feeling. Unbelievable!

So, do you know what I did? I went to the Internet, maybe like you have. I found some information, like you are finding here. I found help and hope. So, let me share with you some of the tips that have been given to me. Hopefully you too can find help and hope for your MLM or network marketing business. After all, working for yourself is great, working at home for yourself better, working at home for yourself AND having great success is the ultimate American (or other country) dream. Let's see how I can help you achieve all three.

Tip Number One

Instead of choosing the first business that comes along, take some time to explore various options. Look into other business ideas as well. Read books containing ideas for possible home-based or small business, trade magazine articles on trends and market demands.

Tip Number 2

OK, so tip #2 is to go read all the tips I've written on my blog. Take this to heart. It's extremely important that you know exactly what you are getting into, unlike me. Know this industry, it's strong points and it's weaknesses. It's important. Know for a fact that this is the industry for you. Find the business that fits you, your lifestyle, your family, etc. Know that this is not a get rich quick sceme. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, persistance and patience. It will not happen over night, but it will happen.

OK, and Tip Number 3

Find a mentor, someone who has been where you are, knows what you are struggling with and has found what works and what doesn't. There are whole other, new concepts to having a successful, home based, network marketing business. To read more about what I have found to work, please read other pages on my blog.

There are other pages on my blog. Feel free to read as many as you want. They have helpful information for network marketers. I've been where you are, looking online for help with my business. I now have access to some amazing training and I've made some great friends all willing to help me. I'd love to pass all of that on to you. It has helped me, I know it can help you.

Hi Michelle,

You are so right, operating any business is both rewarding and a challenge; even more of a challenge when it's "brick and mortar" over home-based. It's essential that everyone do their homework first and take advantages of sites like this and your blog to gain that insight from people who have already BTDT!

Nice Hub ..... thanks for sharing .....

Michelle, your first tip really resonated with me.

Too many people jump into a business opportunity without understanding all the facts. They think that because they slap up a website in 5 minutes they have a business. Then they are upset when they don't make any money.

I actually had one person join my team... putter around for 3 weeks (joined Digg and Facebook but to my knowledge didn't even post one article anywhere) then write to me saying it was a scam because she didn't "make one red cent" with it

Of course the truth is (no matter what some pitch artists will tell you) that building a business takes WORK!

Thank you for helping to spread the word and teach folks the RIGHT way to get into business. With more folks like you around helping out more and more people will see real business success.

Keep up the good work!

Great hub Michelle. And I couldn't agree with you more Jim and Shelly. There are so many people who expect instant success and results without putting in the effort. I can't stress enough how important it is to educate yourself about the industry and the tools and skills you need to be successful. If you invest in yourself and be persistent, then you will see results. Thanks for spreading the word about this important message. Cindy

Thanks to all of you.

It's so important that people know what they are getting into with a home based business. It is not a free ride. It takes a lot of hard work, time, effort, persistance, etc, as I mentioned. BUT and it's a big one, the rewards are fantastic, especially after a lot of hard work. When you do see success, imagine how sweet it will be?!

Not only that you will be building a lasting legacy, one that, with some company's at least, you can will on to your kids and grandkids. (I do not know if they all offer this). Talk about leaving something to be remembered by!

Do your homework, find a business that works for you, work hard for a few years, retire, spend your retirement playing, not worrying about money, leave a lasting legacy. Does it get any better than that?

I don't think so!

Michelle
