Your website does not have to be anything incredibly fancy or extravagant. All you need is a small website that tells about your book and where to buy it. This will help to get your book out there. Many free website builders have the option to add your website into their "directory". You should consider doing this because then it will be one less thing you need to do later. If you really want to get your book out there and known (and if you are reading this than you should already want that) then you will want to do this. It will add your website to their directory where every user there will be able to see your website.

A good way to first start off is to show your friends and family. Let them know how excited you are that you finally have it published and that is available to buy. A lot of times friends and family will be excited for you too and even buy a copy for themselves to read your amazing work.

If you made a website for your book, make sure to send it their way so they can send it towards other people! I know if I like something enough, I will definitely send my friends and family (or even random strangers!) in the same direction.

Advertise your work on other online communities you go to, such as forums or other websites. You can also submit your website to Web Rings. A Web Ring is almost the same thing as a Website Directory except they are run a little differently. Depending on what you classify your site as, depends on what type of Web Ring you would want to join. If your website is about dogs, then you would want to join Web Rings dedicated to dogs.

Doing just these things will help you immensely. Having just a website will help you a lot. If you continue to slowly do these things -- and remember to not be pushy about it -- then you will start to see results. You cannot say you did not put yourself out there by doing these things.
