Marketing Strategies Explained

Target Your Market

DO YOU WANT TO BECOME RICH AND NOT HAVE TO WORK ANYMORE? WELL...IF YOU FIND OUT HOW PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

BUT

IF YOU WANT TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE MONEY BY WORKING WITH A GREAT TEAM THAT GUIDES YOU STEP BY STEP HOW TO GO ABOUT IT, THEN READ ON!

Firstly, there is no such business, no matter what they tell you, that gives you money for sitting down, warming your seat, and doing nothing! The only way to make money and not work, that I know of, is win the lottery. That is pure and simply put - LUCK.

But, in businesses, there is no luck involved. It's skill. It's knowing how to market.

First and foremost, if you have any kind of business (it could be insurance, time share, real estate, network marketing, or even a store), you should not run after people and MAKE them buy whatever you have. Let us take an example, if I own a clothes store, I do not try and sell any kinds of clothes, whatever size or colour, to a person who is size 20. You have to guide this person into buying something that suits them colorwise and sizewise. That way the customer will think - WOW this place is great to shop in. I will come back! (At least I always go back to these sorts of places!!). To do this, you need to build a relationship with your customer. You need to have people skills. Don't treat your customers like money making machines. They have needs, wants and preferences. Learn how to make them feel special. Each and every person that you meet in life is different - different skills, different ideas etc. Each person is unique.

Treat them that way and you have a friend for life.

It is useless talking about your products/services - no matter how good they are, and how cheap or exclusive they are. A dress that is size 10 does not fit me, as I wear size 16 to 18, so don't bother trying to sell it to me. I will not buy it!

If your store, sells only size 10 clothes for women, this does not mean that you market it only to people who are a size 10. Ideally you should take these steps:

  1. Market your store on clothes sites. (targeting the right customers who are looking for similar products)
  2. Even if someone who is size 16 sees your store and does not buy anything, he/she could be a person to recommend your store/products to someone who will.
  3. When advertising your store do not market only your clothes - (you do market your clothes as after all that is what people are going to buy!!) - but market your staff too.. Your people/staff are the frontliners after all. They are the ones who are helping your business succeed. (this is in the case of stores).

I am mentioning stores as this is the easiest way to explain things. But this is also valid for any business.

Any business has to market the HOW they do things in their company.

Explain to customers/prospects that YOU will be giving any assistance that they might require. Show them that they are important to you. Make a friend out of them. Nobody is just a number.

When you buy a car, you choose a car that you like.. maybe it's the speed, the engine, the extras.. whatever it is.. It's your choice of car. But, again, you don't buy a car if you know that the company's aftersales is a disaster, no matter how good the car is. What if something goes wrong? You need assistance from the company and you don't get it. What would you do? Be honest! Personally, I would tell everyone I know how bad the aftersales is - make sure that people know so as NOT to buy from that company. This happens in any business. So you need to make sure that your company is as informative as possible before and after selling anything.

Think Leader - don't just be a sales rep!

To your success,
