Martinis Gone Wild
59
Just up the sidewalk from where I work is a cute little restaurant called Hurricane Kates. They invented this lovely little pink cocktail called a "Martini Gone Wild". It has the refreshing aroma of grapefruit but there is none in the recipe, must be the blood orange and lemon working together.
Warning: I find these highly addictive and table dancing may ensue.
In a shaker combine:
ice
1 oz. X-rated fusion liqueur (pink vodka infused with blood orange, mango & passion fruit)
1 oz. lemon infused vodka
1 oz. pineapple juice
splash of cranberry juice (seriously just a splash)
Shake, strain into a martini glass and garnish with the peel of a lemon.
"Love this drink! Make these and I'm comin' over, and after two or three I'm yours."

What's your favorite cocktail?
Some are natually wild, eh St. James?
Even a Saint can be sinner... I'm livin' proof.
So when are you coming over? The Hurricane Kates are getting warm. Plenty of dancing tables to choose from!
I used to drink this (you might like it on a really hot day): in a tall glass, add ice plus one shot Cointreau, one shot dry vermouth, fill it up with Tonic Water and add two slices of cucumber and a straw. It has various names, none of them repeatable here. Oh no: I tell a lie -- it was called an "Irish Sheila" one summer when I finally convinced a barman I was serious about the contents. It's very refreshing, in an alcoholic sort of way. . . .
Just gotta grab my dancing shoes Chris!
Teresa, sounds interesting and I love cucumbers.
Might as well be a healthy alcoholic! But give me Rum and Jimmy Buffet. I'll even sing for you while you dance.
sounds nice. summer's here in my part of the world at least :D
Hi Randy! tick, tock. Hi Randy! tick, tock. Randy? tick, tock.
Were I younger and single i might be tempted. I'll stick with my Glenfiddich
Damn Randy, that sounds like fun... and very Floridian.
Ah, I wish it were summer here Cris! Alas its Martinis and rain for me.
Chris, I got terribly lost. I stopped and asked directions though, and these nice young men said they didn't recognize your street. They said they'd would fix me a drink and build me a table instead. Such nice boys and what a night, I'm just heading home now.
C.C., nice recipe to know for the ladies though!
Can't argue with that. heh, heh
Lovely hub Makes me thirsty but a nice bottle of chilled savignon blanc or a new generation rose with sushi would suit me
Sixtyorso, I like wine too, but I usually drink Cabs or Pinots. With sushi though, a little plum wine mixed with saki is delicious.
Plum wine and saki mmm. I also like Merlot and some Pinotages but red is for evening drinking, whites and rose for the day. I sometimes make up a cocktail with coke zero and Merlot (half half) a sort of a coke spritzer or a poor man's Sangria (no fruit).
Sixtorso, I'll drink Chardonnay on a warm day but I'd rather have red almost always. Coke and Merlot... dunno about that combo!
yep! LOL
This drink sounds delicious, I think it might make me dance on a few tables too.
Guaranteed after a couple Gwendymom!
Come to my cabin my love, we will drink and make love until the sun comes out.
Bad, here's a hint first give me a couple of Martinis, THEN tell me your intentions.
My intentions are good, until Monday x
You must have shore leave Bad. I'll wait till Monday for that Martini then... shaken not stirred.
LOL, RB. Isn't martinis gone wild redundant? As in wet water, cold snow, or Coors Light -- if something already is a certain way, describing as that way is unnecessary.
Still, it's obvious your favorite bevvie has a stimulating effect on the libido. You and BC99 seem to have a little private rendez-vous planned. be careful you don't make Christoph Reilly or Sixty jealous:-). Meanwhile, bottoms up!! MM
Ya, it looks like cocktails aboard his ship on Monday and I may need a chaperone. Seems like a long time from now... I'm thirsty. Wanta go grab a couple MM? Surely its girls night somewhere!
And mighty mom, isn't redundant? Hello! ;)
Am watching Sex & The City right now. I would definitely swap my cosmopolitan for a fabulous "Martini Gone Wild". Cheers.
Cheers Tiptopcat!
Monday seemed like a long time away, a Martini awaits you, shaked not stirred : )
I will come aboard Captain Bad, IF, you promise to behave yourself. The miss behaving is my shtick!
xtra xtra dirty vodka kettle one martinis, of course! make em' glow green i say
You the girl. I'm a pansy ass. I like my booze to taste like fruit, lol.
nice info on the thoughts of us men and what we think of breasts would like you to join my fans list and if you need any of my feed on this subject i would feel glad to talk about it while we get to know each other
Thanks for stopping by Thunder.
That soiunds fantastic and I will absolutely be making it. I love chocolate martinis made with Godiva liquer, I had one just last night at dinner, but theres this one restaurant my husband and I go to alot and she knows me and starts making the Raspberry Martini as soon as I walk in the door. I love hers she makes the best! Thank you for the recipe, it is timely, sounds like a perfect summertime bbq drink.
I like the chocolate one too!!!!!! Finding the xrated vodka for this one is the tough part but worth it. Cheers.
"Love this drink! Make these and I'm comin' over, and after two or three I'm yours."
Just my luck, you learn the secrets to a girls heart after you're no longer on the market. Such is life. Looks like a tastey drink, I'll have to borrow that recipe.
No, poetry is still the way to my heart. A couple of Martini's Gone Wild "would" have got you something though. lol.
Table Dancing Hint #1, Bar tables are built for dancing, don't try this on just any old table.

I have to be wild without martinis or any booze for that manner. I can still appreciate what you got going on...
