Easy Mashed Potatoes

I'm making mashed potatoes. I took about 6 baby red potatoes and cut them into quarters. I threw them into a pot of water and set it on to boil. I should go add a tablespoon of salt. I leave the peels on to add color, texture and vitamins. But suit yourself. Boil about 30 minutes. Test with fork for tenderness.

After they are tender I drain them. Then I add butter, garlic salt, and a wee bit of milk and throw it all into my food processor and beat until smooth but stop before they are rubbery. I made some last night and they were so yummy I am making another batch to go with some tri tip.

After I spoon them onto a plate, I put a pat of butter or margarine and sprinkle mine with black pepper.

My friend put some cheese chunks on his.
