Well here we are at the end of day one, and I made it through! Suprisingly today was not near as bad as I was expecting, but there were a couple of things that I did not expect. Overall my biggest fear comming into this was the thought of not eating for days on end. My thinking was, "How can I make it through one day much less 15?"

I can honestly say I have not been "hungry" at all today. I have wanted food, but not due to hunger just because I smell it or see it on TV. (As a side note here, has anyone ever looked at how much food they show on TV?!?! No wonder all we want to do is eat!) Having a 2 year old in the house made it where I could not just remove food from the house and do my thing. I have had to get her food through out the day.

Previously I had been trying to figure out where in the world I was putting on my weight from. I knew I was eating reasonable portions, and fairly good food, but my baby weight was just not comming off. I can't tell you how many times today I went to take a piece of cereal/gold fish/rasins/etc as I was pouring it for her. (We use small bowls with her so when they spill there isn't as much to clean, notice I said when not if :) )

As I wrote earlier I did choke down the salt water flush (and yes I will have to do that every day, I checked many times trying to get out of it with no luck!), but never got "flushed" shall we say. I did some research and this too is normal if you do the flush on the first day. The lemon/syrup/cyanne mix hasn't had time to really do its thing yet and there is still food obviously from yesterday in the way. They said this should change tomorrow... I will let you know.

The most intriguing thing to me has been my sense of smell. I am not kidding when I say, I have not had smell this good since my first trimester of pregnancy, and just like then I am not so sure wether it is a blessing or a curse.

Overall, day one went off pretty well. No headaches or real problems of any kind. (I had previously cut caffinee out of my diet and that one was brutal, but I think it helped here.) Here is to keeping my fingers crossed it continues this smooth!
