Successful Seminar Tips
A seminar can be a source of supplemental income for your business and should be included as part of your operations. A seminar about what now?
A business owner has many traits that can be used to present a seminar to upcoming business students at your local college, upcoming entrepreneurs, generate interest in entrepreneurship and business, or partnership with your local small business development center and banks.
Planning your presentation should include following the rules of AIDA as you design the various topics of your upcoming speech. The rules of AIDA are as follows :
– A ..... Attention ..... capture their attention
– I ..... Interest ..... maintain their interest
– D .... Desire ..... arouse desire to act
– A .... Action ..... state the action to be taken
Communicating with an audience has been found to reveal a order that is followed and will create (or not) the impact of your seminar. Paying close attention and incorporating this information into your presentation should be noted. This order is as follows :
– your body language
– voice quality
– the actual words
The topics of your seminar will be presented by you and includes the image you project. Luckily there are tips available and knowing these will help you achieve a measure of success. These seven tips are as follows :
– Appearance ..... dress comfortably, for the weather, time of day and the occasion.
– Eye Contact .... very important to make eye contact with everyone in the room.
– Posture ........... an erect posture communicates ease and confidence. Fidgeting makes for annoying distractions.
– Space .......... claim the space you will need. Look at the room before starting.
– Gestures ..... use gestures only to emphasize points. Too many makes you appear phony.
– Voice ........... use your voice to add energy and interest. Express emotion. Avoid rushing.
– Pauses ......... they are a natural punctuation of what we say. Learn to pause naturally.
The knowledge and practice of these tips should help you have a successful seminar. Add a opportunity for interaction with your audience and maintain a engaging manner will assure you of a successful, fun and memorable experience for everybody. Read more --> here.
