Medical Hair Restoration

I have been a proponent of medical hair restoration for several years now. I have seen what being bald can do to a man's self-esteem. It slowly drains his energy and speeds up the aging process. My brother was completely bald on the top of his head by the time he was thirty and it made him look 45. Sure he laughed at the bald jokes but inside I could see it killed him. If you are losing your hair then do something about it today. Make a commitment to yourself that you will search out hair restoration procedures until you find the one that is right for you.

One of the best and most effective methods I know of is hair implantation. This used to be know as hair plug therapy because of the crude techniques used to implant the hair follicles in the bald spot. Basically this hair restoration transplant procedure involves removing growing hair follicles from an area of the scalp that has not experienced hair loss and moving those hair units to the portion that has.

This procedure was originally experimented with by the Japanese in the 1920's and 30's. But during World War II the procedures were stopped and most of the information was lost. It wasn't until the 1950's that hair implantation procedures were again seen as good way to cover up a balding spot on a man's head.

At this time though the medical hair restoration procedures were not in place to give a really good looking result. The surgeons at that time would remove a fairly large section of scalp with growing hair and then transplant it into the bald area. This resulted in tufts of hair sticking out all over from the bald spot.

As you can see from the picture at right this did not give a very appealing look at all.  The hair plugs were very noticeable and really looked much worse than just being bald.  Not only was the hair loss still obvious but everyone could see that the patient was trying to cover up the fact that they were going bald.  It seems like people respond to other people who try to cover up their bald spots in a very negative way if they find out.  Of course if you can get a good looking hair transplant procedure done then no one will be able to tell you are covering it up and you will reap all the benefits of a full head of hair.

Medical hair restoration procedures improved slowly over the next few decades but it wasn't until the late 1980's and 90's that micro-transplantation techniques allowed competent hair restoration doctors to start performing the types of surgeries that gave really great results.

Currently a trained hair implant surgeon can give you a result that is almost unnoticeable to everyone unless they inspect your scalp very closely.  The hair implants of today look absolutely nothing like the ones your father tried in the 50's and 60's.

The current procedure involves removing thin strips of scalp from the area of the head that still has hair growth.  A technician then removes the individual hair follicles and prepares them for reinsertion.  A surgeon will then insert the hair shafts individually being careful to lay the hair in a way that matches the direction of the surrounding hair.  When completed the results are really fantastic.  You have a full head of hair again and it matches perfectly because it came from your own head.

If you are thinking of doing something about that bald spot then commit to yourself today that you will find the hair restoration procedure that is right for you.  There are many options out there and you can find the right one at the right cost if you so some searching.  Don't give up on a youthful appearance.

Medical Hair Restoration for a hair loss treatment is a very effective way to get your hair growing in that shiny bald spot again. If you want the ladies to notice you be sure it is not the glare of the lights off your head that catches their eye.

A Less Expensive Way To Regrow Your Hair

Many men and women have been able to see remarkable hair growth by using products that have been accepted by the FDA for use as hair restoration products.  This can be a less expensive alternative to the thousand's of dollars a good hair implant procedure costs.
