Though we did not know the true value of tumeric, the family had for generations used tumeric in cooking, especially curry. We also enjoy tumeric in cooked rice which was distributed to family and friends on a baby's first month of life.
Very good hub.Thank You !
Would it be worth using tumeric mixed with water as a tonic for the liver, or is it sufficient to use it in curry or rice dishes and normal cooking?
Excellent hub jshaiju! Someone I know has been using tumeric lately to reduce a small cyst on his face. It is working - slowly the cyst is going away. We just discovered this remedy, but we're always researching alternative health methods and are familiar with the conceptual basis of Ayurveda. I really enjoy your choice of topics. Thanks for a great post.
Hi Jewels, turmeric can be used with milk or honey. A teaspoonful of turmeric with a glass of milk, or equal quantity of honey before going to bed is the usual practice, the duration of intake varies from a week to a month according to the need. Regular intake has not resulted in adverse side effects.
Thanks for your encouraging comments.
Madame X. Thanks for your kind words.
