Meditate on your Toes!

Take off your socks! I bet you were thinking that I was talking about being on guard or something. No, that aint my style, well it is but you know I like to keep you on your toes as well. So take them off!
Once you have removed the veil from your feet, get them up. Up on the coffee table, on your desk or dangle them from a chair, a pier or whatever you want just as long as you can see your toes.

No, I am not kidding meditate on your toes, it really works! I promise you, if you meditate on your toes, you will learn to curb your anger, genuine focus and I swear to you, you will get lost on your toes for hours on end, with this new age meditation practice developed and tested by none other than Sandra Rinck herself. Yes that is me. If you are not fully satisfied with the results I promise you....um...I promise you...umm....well just try it for yourself. :)

Now Focus
Wiggle your big toe. I bet you can wiggle your big toe without any real concentration. The big toe is pretty obedient. Next wiggle your pinkie toe. You probably achieved the same result. The pinkie toe is just as responsive to you as your big toe but this is where it gets tricky.
Move your pointer toe. This takes a little more concentration. You see, while trying to move your second toe, you may just find that your big toe and pinkie toe are also moving. But you must focus Grasshopper, you must be able to move the second toe without moving the big or pinkie toe.
This is the challenge. After sometime you might be able to get a successful jiggle out of your second toe but it may not last long. It might even look like your toe just twitched. This is a good start.
From there you will want to focus on doing this on demand. Acquiring the focus of getting only the second toe to move without Mr. Bigs and Pinkie's help is very hard. I guarantee you will remain engaged for at least an hour.
After an hour has passed, it may have felt like just a few minutes as your mind would have been fully engaged on moving that toe. You have also become a novice on keeping your frustration at bay just to get that toe to move because quite honestly, you must have gotten at least a little pissed off at the disobedient actions of your second toe in command.

The Real Challenge!
After hours and hours of meditating on my toes; after hours and hours of dissatisfaction, aggravation, and a learned patients and extreme focus there is one challenge left to face and that is the middle toe.
This is for the masters of 'toetation'. Same rules apply and I have not yet been able to get my middle toe to move by itself without the expressed opinion of my big, second, forth or pinkie toe's involvement. You see they seem to get in the way and there isn't much I can do about this, but I tell you it can be done, you just have to believe.
I hope you enjoyed today's meditative practice and have kept you on your toes. I am sure that you will find you are a better person for being on your toes as this challenge is not for the weak at heart. You must believe!
As you can plainly see...
Mommy is not a master, she was unfortunately unable to wiggle her middle toe hence her serious aggression! So one must be careful when attempting to move the middle toe so that you do not turn out like the Bride and go on a horrible rampage because well....like I said, If you can wiggle your middle toe, then you are the Master. Good Luck!
PS. The real irony of meditating on your toes is that it really does work and if you can in fact move your middle toe without the others moving along with it, you have great focus and control. :)

I don't know if it is a zen practice but I know it requires a lot of "discipline".
I am curious to know if anyone can actually do it! I have been trying it for years and still am unsuccessful. :)

Heh...I enjoyed this article and method. Can't say I achieved anything but I had about 20 minutes of incredible meditation while attempting to do so. With my minuscule attention span sometimes it becomes tough to enter a proper state while meditating and this method worked quite well....thxxx!
