Meditation

Meditate upon the thought that you are seeing an ocean before you, and with every inhale and exhale the waves move in and out of the shore so peacefully and gracefully…

Meditation has existed for over 4,000 years, mainly in Buddhism and Hindu culture. Jainism, Sikhism, New Age, Taoism and Islam also use forms of meditation. Christianity and Judaism have their own meditation ways that are very different than others but still create calm and inner peace.

Different ways of meditation are not just for spiritual needs, but to help the mental and physical self, such as Yoga meditation.

In basic meditation, if you clear the mind, relax the body and focus positive energy that your ability to think, concentrate, and health improves. Yoga is tied to eastern religions, its main goal is to assist health and well being and reaching Moksha, this is the release from the cycle of life, death and rebirth and all the suffering attached to it.

The different types of meditation are: Trakata, Mantra, Chakra, Trakata, Vispanna, Raj Yoga, Zazen, and Nada Yoga. The single point of all these types of meditation is that they focus on the breath and feeling of relaxing the body while the mind relaxes while still being present.

Music is also a tool, which is used in meditation to help calm the mind into focusing on one thing. Chanting is also used in some meditation. In Yoga meditation there are many types that can be done, however they all assist in helping your own self-awareness and ability to feel mentally focused.

Some types may be stronger and deeper than others, where as others will be allot less spiritual and easier for those wanting to meditate for the first time… All in all, trying meditation through yoga, or any other form is a good natural way to de-stress and keep yourself in touch with your mind, body and spirit.
