Ninety Days to Amazing

Day 90

I lost my job back in March of this year and with it of course went all benefits. I received a letter soon after informing me I could continue my health benefits (cobra) at $638.00 a month. Needless to say I thought that was ridiculous. I have a lot of friends that have no health insurance as well, and their suggestion was to simply stay healthy and keep out of the hospital.

A simple solution on paper but still a scary proposition until I really started to think about it. There must be a way to stay healthy and avoid setting myself up for some kind of long term illness. I started to study. What I found was not only were there products to improve my health, but it seemed an extremely inexpensive form of health insurance. Instead of paying an exorbitant monthly fee up front, in case I got sick, I could purchase products that would insure my health.

For the last three and a half months I’ve been taking the berry radical antioxidant super food, and organic pro biotic super food. I threw out all cleaning supplies. That included toothpaste, shaving cream and deodorant.

I even quit coffee. I feel fantastic and it costs me a fraction to maintain it compared to an inflated health care premium that does nothing for my health. The system as it stands is set for failure. At least twice a year I received letters from the insurance company stating what was currently not being covered in the plan. Every year our premiums increased and more was taken out of each paycheck to subsidize coverage that kept shrinking.

If I hadn’t lost my job I probably would have never gotten on this path. It’s the proverbial best thing that ever happened to me. My fingernails and hair grow like weeds, not that I really care, but my hair shines like it never has. My scalp doesn’t itch anymore, eczema on my arms has disappeared. My energy has gone through the roof and I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this good in my life. In the palms of both my hands I had some kind of weird growth on the tendons that made them protrude and it was painful to open my hands all the way. I was told the growths could be removed with surgery but my insurance would not cover it calling it an elective procedure. There was no guarantee that the growths would not return. Well, they’ve completely disappeared on their own compared to surgery that would have laid me up for a while. I had discoloration under my left toe nail (big toe) that’s gone as well. I feel that my body has been finely tuned as compared to before where I was going through a slow degradation. I felt fine, wasn’t overweight, but over time you don’t realize how much better you’re capable of feeling.

If you stop the use of all these poisonous products around you, inside, and on you. It’s amazing how fast your body can rebound and maintain itself. Don’t forget, if you’re outside in urban areas you are breathing polluted air as well. So if you compound the list of pollutants you’re exposing yourself to on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day or more, you can see the damage that can be done. You go to the doctor with some strange symptoms, and they prescribe a drug to treat that symptom, or surgery. I’m not saying there is not a time and place for all. While the drug may cure the symptom it does not treat the cause and you usually have to remain on the drug to prevent that symptom from returning. The long term effects of that drug may cause other side effects that in turn need to be treated with more drugs. The drug companies want lifetime customers, they don’t want cures. That’s a whole story in itself.

The system is very flawed, and there’s a simple, healthier, and better way to maintain optimum health, your body will do the rest.

Stay healthy and stay alive.
