Facts About Prostate Milking

Prostate milking is also referred to as prostate massage. It is the stimulation or massage of the male prostate gland. This can be done for medical purposes or for sexual purposes. The reason for the need for prostate milking is that seminal fluids are collected in the prostate and need to be released, especially if a man is no longer sexually active.

The prostate is located near the rectum and prostate milking can be done manually. Prostate milking or massage is usually the practice of relieving seminal fluids that have built up and is a way to get rid of them without having to ejaculate or reach an orgasm.

A prostate milking is a treatment for those who suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia also called BPH, and chronic prostatitis. Those who have acute prostatitis can spread infection to other parts of the body if a prostate milking is performed.

Prostate milking for medical purposes is done internally. Usually a prostate massager or a lubricated finger is used. The doctor usually puts on a glove adds some lubricant and begins the prostate milking. Sometimes an orgasm is reached without any stimulation to the genitals when a prostate milking is performed. The doctor will insert his gloved finger into your rectum and massage the lobes that are located on both sides of the prostate.

A prostate milking can also be done indirectly from the outside. The doctor may massage the perineum as a prostate milking, but often this is not effective when fluid removal is necessary. It is important that the person performing the prostate milking uses no more pressure than you would to massage your eyes. Care should be taken not to rub the nerves in the middle too vigorously.

When the prostate is sexually stimulated and is full of seminal fluids, it can be voluntarily contracted and emptied the same way as if it were ejaculated but without the other organs surrounding the prostate getting stimulated.

There are other ways that a prostate milking can be performed and if you need to have this procedure done then your doctor will discuss all the options that are available to you.
