Would it not be smart to buy a replica of Rolex of a website, for about 50$ then spending $5,000 - $100,000 on a watch that only differ's in crystal to diamond? Its a larger difference but a human eye cant physically see the difference. What do you think about the Replica Websites?

Hi Kevin

Well, you’ve got an interesting point -

In my work (I have a jewelry & accessories line for men), I visit china about 6-7 times a year and I see there much more replicas than the original ones.

Many look exactly the same, and can be of great quality.

I think that if we put the copyright issues aside, it really comes to how one feels with it.

If you feel good with it, so heck… go for it.

I know many that wont be caught wearing a replica, and many that can afford a $10,000 watch easily, but really don’t care.

They wear there replica with pride and spend there money on the bimmer : )

To me, the design and quality make the difference, more than the "famous name" :)

I agree with tomerr, we get all too carried away with the branding that is effectively marketed by the top brands and we sometimes forget about the real purpose of a watch. Do you like it? does it look good on you? these are the attributes you really should be thinking about foremost over that of the branding. There are some great watches out there which are unbranded or indeed by up and coming designers which can knock the socks off some of the more established brands.

Hello, my father just bought me a Fossil twist me1007 what do u think?

I wanted a swiss army!

Personally I think that swiss army is a better brand than Fossil, is that true?? Please! I need your opinion!!

Thanks

Hi Catherine

I think that if checking quality or brand recognition, Fossil and Swiss army watches are quite similar.

If you like the design of the twist then stay with it I think.

(I like it by the way, it looks special).

If you want, try showing me which Swiss army style you like and I can tell you my opinion on both.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Thats neet to know I've owned three of the best 10 brands in the world however, I would say that Hamilton should have made the list. Rolex, Fossil and Casio.

Hi Rob

This top 10 list is based on search data from several sources, and Hamilton didn’t reach the top 10. (It was somewhere in the top 20 if Im not mistaken). Thanks & enjoy your watches!

Terry. Swiss army has some nice watches with a decent price tag. A fossil would also be a good choice at this price range; I would have check it also. Thanks for reading: D!

the list is a joke right? I think you need to learn about movements, quality, design etc... before putting up this ridiculous list - unless it is your very own personal top 10.

realwatchesonly,

This list is 100% accurate (as for Jun – 1 2008, when I made it). It refers to the most wanted watch brands among men, based on sales and search data from several sources. There is a different between the best and the most wanted. This list shows the brands that people most searched and bought. Thanks for reading, tom!

You seem to have a lot of hubs about men's fashion. I didn't know about Breitling and learned something new today. Will keep an eye on your hubs. Thumbs up.

Thanks countrywomen, I enjoy reading your hubs as well. Breitling is a fantastic one by the way, I love it. It's classic, elegant yet very stylish. If only it wasn’t sooo pricy : )

thanks.

Its a great one Branko!

I like the black dial more, though the white is also nice. If you can afford it then go for it! It's an amazing watch that truly says class.

Thanks for reading : )

OMG... Did anyone do their homwork! First off watch brands fall into two generals groups. There is the group of brands where the watches simply 'tells you the time'. Then there is the group of brands whos instruments 'measures the time'. They differ in that the former is mass produced and can be found abundantly. The latter is hand-crafted and is generally made of the most noble material available to man.
