Mental Golf Concentration
38Mental Golf Concentration
Do you feel being pressured to perform your best in during the game?
Do you feel anxious that you want to throw up?
Do you not like the feeling of having all eyes focused on you?
Do you fear being humiliated due to a bad game?
Can you hear someone in the crowd coughing?
A lot of golfers are facing the same dilemma. Many are wandering in a sea of
distraction rather than concentrating on what's need to be done - hitting a
good service. They focus on the external and internal struggle not on their
serve and they lost the game.
During these times, mental golf concentration is vital.
Top athletes have mastered this and they all have great mental power. They know
the significance of having the mental capacity to really focus and ace their
game. Therefore, mental toughness is as important as physical toughness and
both being important to your success in playing golf.
Concentration can make or break your golf performance. Having a full golf
concentration means your mind and your performance is
consistent, delivering a good service and eventually winning the game. As a
good mental golfer, you should know how to filter what's needed to win the game
and what's not. According to a mental golfer, he sees everything in and around
the game yet being distracted by nothing. When you lose concentration, you risk
losing the momentum and in the end being beaten.
However, distractions are inevitable. Now, you should learn how to deal with
distractions. Try to assess and list down the things that usually keep you
distracted during the game. Identifying these can help you breakdown the
approach you need to do. Then learn to refocus. Top athletes can refocus within
seconds. This is a skill you can learn too.
Good mental golf training would be a
great help if you desire to be a better mental golfer. Mental golf coaches
enable you to identify your golf
mental game strengths and weaknesses. They then develop a golf putting training
aids and game plan which outlines what needs to be worked on and
incorporate basic mental golf training. After which,
they start on the mental golf workshop then follow up for more mental golf coaching.
Take control of your attitude towards your game and see the difference. It is
important to stay calm and not fret about the errors which you cannot undo.
Always be ready to move on to your next serve. Focus on your goal, i.e., to win
the game! Reprogram your mind and reach optimum performance. Lower your score
by improving your mental game.
