Merits and demerits of vegetarian and nonvegetarian meals

Non-Vegetarian diet has No Extra Benefits
There are no benefits to a non-vegetarian diet. Sometimes there is a concern about the Vitamin B's in a vegetarian diet. however, if one takes in ample leafy green vegetables, there will be more than enough. Similarly, medical science has revealed recently the omega 3 fatty acid oils are important for brain functioning and, if deficient, can be the cause of Alzheimer's. Now, what is important to know is that omega 3 fatty acid oils are available in sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds, walnuts, avocados and flaxseeds. The common belief is that you must obtain these oils from eating fish. Unfortunately, many, if not all, fish products are laced with mercury. Another main factor in choosing a vegetarian diet is avoiding the LDL cholesterols that are responsible for dysfunction with the cardio-vascular system and the buildup of plaque. In fact, according to a recent study Mt Sinai, Miami these LDL cholesterols may also contribute to Alzheimer's. Furthermore, a carnivorous diet is much more expensive than a vegetarian diet. Another important element to consider is karma. It is a principle of every major religion to refrain from killing, and the saying is "As you sow, so shall you reap." I would say that the main reason people fail with a vegetarian diet is that, first of all we live in a very meat-oriented culture where mainstream medicine is not willing to take a stand against the evident hazards of meat consuption. Secondly, many do not take the time to read nutritional advice about vegetarianism before they embark on the diet, so they fail because they do not appropriate the right foods in their diet, leaving themselves protein-deficient, as well as vitamin deficient. Totally unnecessary. With so much information available online it is easy to "go vegetarian.". I believe there was also a very stupid couple in New York who tried to feed their newborn a vegan diet, without mother's milk. Impossible. A very famous "raw' couple with very healthy children and a newborn, Storm and Jingee of thegardendiet.com, have shown that it is very easy to raise healthy vegan babies. I believe Jingee nursed her children for a few years from birth. There is a vast difference between mother's milk and cow milk.
Raw Food Diet, Vegan diet, Emphasis on Nutrient density
Additionally, some medical experts, like Dr. Joel Fuhrman, one's diet should have vegetables with a higher concentration of nutrients, what he calls nutrient density. other nutritionists have pointed out the benefits of a raw vegetarian diet as the nutrients are not diminished or destroyed by cooking. There are a number of Raw food advocates that are extremely popular like David Wolfe of the U.S. and Shazzie of the U.K. Some vegetarians also go to the length of avoiding dairy altogether as well as gluten. In fact, some feel that dairy may be the source of an allergic response responsibile for some ill health. So, again, these are all active and healthy members of the community who have no need to delve into the blood and bones of the carnivorous diet.

Decades ago, we read a lot about the benefits of eating meat and other non-vegetarian food.
After a while, taking vitamin supplements became popular.
Now, we read about the merit of eating vegetarian food.A large section of population in India is vegetarian, mostly for religious reasons. They also have health problems, often because of the amount of fattening milk products like butter/'ghee' they consume.
I believe that eating vegetarian meals do have a benefit , but, occasional intake of non-vegetarian food is ok.
