Metro SID Makes 500th Internet Prostitution Arrest

Detectives with the Metro Police Department’s Specialized Investigations Division have made their 500th internet-related prostitution arrest since the fall of 2006. That’s when they started conducting web-based prostitution stings. Tuesday nine men were charged with patronizing prostitution after they allegedly came to a downtown hotel to meet a female police officer who had posted Internet ads advertising sex for sale. All nine allegedly agreed to pay her for sex.
