Oh my goodness. I just found out that Miley Cyrus's (also known as Hannah Montana) older brother, Trace Cyrus, is one of the two singers and one of the guitar players for Metro Station! Can you believe that? I had no idea until about fifteen minutes ago. But wait, that's not all.. Ha-ha. Mitchell Musso‘s, Hannah Montana's co-star, older brother, Mason Musso, the other singer and other guitar player of Metro Station! Insane. I had no idea about either one of these relationships. I read that the two older brothers met at the set of Hannah Montana which is only appropriate. Mason and Trace both had music interests so they started a band with Blake Healy (synthesizer/ beats/ bass) and Anthony Improgo (drums).
The one I am more shocked about is Miley Cyrus and Trace Cyrus! Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus has so much talent and Metro Station... doesn't. I mean Trace Cyrus might have talent but he doesn't in that band. I have got to say that is one of the worst bands I have ever heard. Barf. Now I know that they are sort of a new band and they only have one c.d. and most likely they will improve before their second c.d. but their first c.d. is bad... maybe it is cause of that genre of music... pop with a mix of electronica and alternative rock.
The first song I heard from my sister, Kelsey, was the song "Kelsey". She fell in love with this band when she found this song that is also her name. I think this song has a cute idea but isn't portrayed well. It is the music. I mean the lyrics are fine, the singing is a little quirky but fine.. The music is bad and wrong for this. I mean it fits because that is the only way it was made but it could have been a lot better. I have to keep reminding myself that they are a garage band and became famous on Myspace. So they aren't professional. The music video for "Kelsey" is also one of the worst I have ever seen in my life. It is really boring and it is like four different screens which is difficult to watch,
I am still just shocked... No, I am stunned. How could I have known both artists: Metro Station and Hannah Montana and not known that they were related. Probably because they don't even look alike! Well they kind of have the same eyes... but still! It would have been cooler if I Trace were in a band that I actually liked. Hopefully since they got a little bit of exposure, they will up their game and make better music in the future.

That's interesting. I really like 'Shake It'. I've yet to listen to other songs from that CD. And as for Miley, some of her stuff isn't that bad. People forget that her music is for young people and have no real reason to bad mouth her music.

Brokenxtheory- I think Shake It is a lot better song than Kelsey that is for sure. I don't know if it is a good song though. And you are right a lot of people forget her music is for people her age and younger and assume that it is terrible. I think she has an awesome voice for her age, but that is just me.

I understand what you are saying about her being "slutty" but every other 15 year old has the same type of pictures. She is just being her age. My sister thinks that she needs to be smarter about her descisions because has a higher standard then other 15s because more people will see her pictures. I think if she is going to be in a spot light... and gear herself to children, she needs to be mature enough to be a role modle. Personally, this isn't who I would want my children looking up too. Not sure if you'll like the bands I mentioned. They are talented for sure, but not... poppy or anything. Gogol Bordello is a gypsy punk band from the Ukraine. Lots of their lyrics are in russian, but it's simply amazing. The lead singer Eugene, is Alex in everything is illuminated (the movie... and the characrter for that book was written to be him) and the basis for the charater Eugene in Wristcutters.

My mate got me into all sorts of rock / alternative etc ... music and i come across metro station on another bands friend list and i think there different not necessarily the best band out but i think the bigger there becoming the better there becoming aswell. i agree with 'jojo' on the fact that miley has found fame through her dad aswell as through disney and metro station ' trace ' has done it on his own, i must say i do prefer trace to miley but thats just me .... not everyones gonna like metro station but i think people should give them a chance =] TRACE IS SOOOOOOOOO FIT !!!!

So... I have been reading this and I must say that I think it is really sad that people actually sit on the computer and fight about things that are so unimportant. I also think that it's sad that people actually threaten other people..over the internet! That said, I think Miley Cyrus has a very good voice for only being 16. I'm sure it will get better as she gets older. And she isn't just famous because of her dad. Disney hired her because she was the only girl auditioning that had a decent voice. And they almost didn't because she was too young for the role. Yet they did, so she must have some talent. And Metro Station is also good band. They aren't my favorite by any means but they are catchy and you can dance to them. My opinion may not matter, but I just wanted to say something so don't freak out if for some reason I offended you.
