This museum is huge so you want to allow a couple of hours at least to have a look around. It was designed in 1895 by Richard Morris Hunt in 1895. The museum has more than 1.5 million square feet of exhibition space. Some of the most famous paintings and artists ar eon display including works by Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Titian and Vermeer. Also there is an amazing Egyptian gallery.
