The way I see it, Michael Jackson died a long time ago. Michael Jackson was a legend in his own right, and had great influence over everyone that came after him. But being the lover of little boys spoiled that for a lot of people.

Since that time he has done nothing worth admiring. The transformation from pop legend to shrivelled piece of plastic has been extreme. Michael Jackson drifted from the minds of many fans. Fans that still liked his work, but began to have a melancholy attitude toward him as he faded into the background.

Now, he is forced back into the attention of everyone. Both fans and critics have something to say, and many have mixed emotions as we ponder the sudden death of the King of Pop.

It is hard to miss some of the many tributes that are being played both on television and the radio. Many in the entertainment industry are focusing on the gifts that Michael Jackson brought to this world, and the mark that he will forever leave with us.

Watching his videos and listening to his songs this weekend has brought back a lot of good memories. The music that he has given us will stay with us forever. They are beacons of good times, perhaps even better times than some we have now. Michael Jackson made sure that everyone was Bad.

So, does the legendary performances, and the chart topping music give him a free pass? It seems that it has for such a long time. Even in the shadow of the tragic news of his death, many people are focusing on the good that Michael Jackson brought to the entertainment industry.

Rediscovering the awesome power of his music is a good thing. Watching his videos has been even better than the radio because you can experience the full effect of him as you watch the seamless flow of his dancing and the power of his music.

It is a shame that there is such a large gap between the kick ass Michael Jackson that influenced us all and the death of the King of Pop, because now the death of such a legend has lost some of its intensity. The passing of Michael Jackson just does not seem as tragic as it should be.
