WTF!!!WTF!!!WTF!!! We've lost a legend, an icon, someone who has shaped generations of music for the entire world. There are no words to express how BIG he was and what a HUGE impact his passing will have on the entire world. His music will live on FOREVER. Rest in peace!

I wrote the article this morning about Farrah Fawcett sadened but prepared, due to the fact that for years we had been made aware of the status of her health. Then I am slammed with the news that we have lost one of our greatests! No warning, no preparation allowed, no "sometime soon". The finality of a life is such a heavy thing, such a complex issue and yet so simple. Emotionally we are drained, mentally we are running ten thousand miles a minute, remembering, questioning, wondering. Gone. I know that our lives are affected in their own ways by the ones we lose. The world may not know the ones that we love, they may not ever see the impact of those who make up our moments... but we know the loss nonetheless. So do not wonder why a celebrity is the only one who gets all of the attention. Share, instead, in the mourning. Let this be a reminder that we are ALL human. Let this be our opportunity to reevaluate our lives and to support each other while we are forced to realize how fragile it is. Let this be a reminder to the world to soak up each moment, each smile, each embrace. CELEBRATE! LOVE! LAUGH! BE GRATEFUL! For it is that quickly that we are gone.
