Microsoft’s Bing search engine (Bing.com), a tie up between Yahoo! And Microsoft is looking to a tough market fight with Google.
Google, no doubt remains the number 1 search engine. A company, just 11 years old (started in 1998), have changed the entire human race way of life, but their search engine leadership is under great threat.
Google, the giant of our unfolding information age is on the verge of its real first challenge. I’m of the firm belief that Microsoft’s Bing Search engine will take on Google head to head.
Professor David Yoffie of the HarvardBusinessSchool opined that the store of data is of astonishing value to corporations and governments. It is postulated that more than one trillion searches will be made online this year (2009), and in five years, that could plummet to three trillion or even more than that.
However, aside Microsoft’s Bing, other smaller search engines are gearing up to challenge Google. Asnwers,Mahalo and Aardvark e.t.c. aims to provide specific answers to search queries.
All the way from Silicon Valley to Bangalore, computer science wiz kids are writing complex computer codes, called Kosmix and DeepPeep and they are designed to search the parts of the web that an ordinary Google search misses.

Aside from the threats from Bing and fellow search engines, the unimaginable explosive growth of social networking services, e.g Twitter and Facebook is a cautionary competitive sign to Google.
