Posture Yourself for Success with Mike Dillard's Black Belt Recruiting

At first glimpse, Mike Dillard's Black Belt Recruiting seems to be more of the same. Know the why, call your prospects, there is gold in the follow-up...BUT there is something distinctly different in motion here that you don't notice after listening to the 6 set CD course at first.

You need to listen the Black Belt Recruiting CD's at least 2-3 times before you get it. It is about posturing yourself. Gaining control before they control you.

Yep - you've heard this before but did it really sink in? Probably not. That's because it has really never been presented quite this way. Mike Dillard and Mark Wieser, (Mike's former mentor and the one who has taught him the ropes) go through six separate training calls which were recorded and presented in a neat package to form Black Belt Recruiting.

Mark Wieser talks a lot about posturing. Seems like a simple enough concept to grasp right? Well, no not really. You may think that you are in control of a conversation with a prospect but everything you were taught in Network Marketing says to basically do whatever you can to get that prospect to join your business. And that means literally dragging them into your business and eventually (fingers crossed) they will learn the ropes.

Well, guess what? Dragging people against their will doesn't work. Never did and never will. This new concept of posturing puts you in charge, literally, of the conversation and the outcome. You don't care or at least you are not supposed to care if they join you or not. You are interviewing them, they are not interviewing you and it is your decision whether they qualify for the position.

It's about getting people that will stick around and work the business. Not about getting as many poor suckers joined up as you can and hope that 1 or 2 stay around long enough to get another 2 or 3 to take their place when they drop out. Interesting, isn't it? Getting people into your organization that actually want to work the business.

Mike Wieser explains in detail how he has literally disqualified tons of people on the first call. Gasp! Let a prospect go - actually TELL them that you don't want them. This goes against every being in a Network Marketer's genetic makeup. But this is what he tells you and he backs it up with real life examples of exactly how this is done. Black Belt Recruiting is all about using attraction marketing techniques over the telephone when prospecting.

The golden key here, after listening to the CD set over and over again, is numbers. The number of prospects you have in your pipeline greatly improves your ability to master the technique of posturing. Simply put, if you have 1 prospect a week that you call, chances are you will struggle with this concept. Your instinct will take over and you will subconsciously have a need to sign that person up. Then posturing goes out the window.

But if you have hundreds of prospects in your pipeline and you are calling 10-20 prospects per day, then common sense dictates you are now the one in control and that burning desire to sign someone up starts to fade away. Why? Because you have so many quality prospects coming to you that it is now your decision who you choose to work with and who will be a good fit for your company. Bottom line - there is magic in the numbers and even more so when those numbers are filled with targeted prospects looking for what are offering.

Another valuable lesson taught in Black Belt Recruiting is that people do not join your business. They join you. If you come across as someone who is needy and desperate, then you will lose all the way around. But if you come across as someone who is in charge, they will want to be with you. You are the one who they will be working with, not the company.

Network Marketing companies are plentiful so the pickings out there are good. What makes yours so special? YOU.

This all sounds great but does Black Belt Recruiting really deliver with solid real life examples? Yes. Absolutely it does. But it is not in a neat, word by word script. It is scattered throughout the content so you need to be a good student and take it all in. If you do, it is well worth the time and investment.

But if you are someone who wants it all wrapped up in one, concise script, it might fall short of your expectations.

Some great real life examples include:

What do you say when someone says what do you do? Wow, this one always was a killer. Do you say a little, a lot, pull back, throw up on them? What exactly do you say? Say just enough to peak people's curiosity without going into detail - another form of posturing.

Straight from the horse's mouth, Mark Wieser, here is his answer to that inevitable, yet oh so tricky question. "I work from home with (whatever your company name is). It has really been a nice change from my days in corporate America where I go where I want to go and not where people tell me to go. The thing I really like about my business is I can work virtually anywhere. I like the kind of freedom that the business I am involved in offers or provides. Do you have a business card? I am going on a business trip this week and I can give you a call when I get back and I can send you more literature when I get back." THEN CHANGE THE SUBJECT. Keep your comments to 2 minutes or less, and then turn it around to "What do you do?".

The whole point here is to get that person pursuing you. Posturing at it's finest.

It would take 50 or more pages to go through all of the real life examples that Mike Dillard offers throughout the Black Belt Recruiting CD set. Some quick tidbits that truly deliver great detailed, valuable answers are:

- Mistakes People Make When Sponsoring

- Closing - How to properly close a call and why you don't want to send them to a website

- Using the power of Third Person Credibility

- The GAP concept (Grab a Pen) - when to write off a prospect

These are all from just one CD in the Black Belt Recruiting Set. The value offered here is much more than a simple "how to" for Network Marketers.

If you have been a student of Mike Dillard's previous works, Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget or MLM Traffic Formula, then the principles learned there can be applied to this new course to not only build a great, qualify list of prospects but get them to join your Network Marketing business.

Black Belt Recruiting is not a magic potion that will miraculously grow your business beyond your wildest dreams and create a plethara of wealth and financial freedom for you. There is no such thing. And if your expectation is to listen this 6 CD set and then become wealthy, don't waste your time or money. It takes time to go through this set and you need to listen to it over and over again until you get it. Don't expect it to hit you like a bolt of lightning because it won't. It cultivates over time...like a fine wine but the ends will justify the means.

Like anything, you need to learn how to apply these techniques to your business and combine them with all of the other techniques you have been taught, whether they are the old fashioned way of prospecting or utilizing the new Attraction Marketing techniques.

Mike Dillard and Mark Wieser walk you through a free one hour video of Black Belt Recruiting explaining how you can sponsor 10-20 reps with any company.

If you have ever struggled in your career with what to say or how to say it and you wonder why so many prospects you thought for sure would join your opportunity suddenly disappear into the big black hole never to be heard from again, then Black Belt Recruiting is well worth the price of admission.

Nothing worth having is easy but Mike Dillard has once again given us something to hang our hats on.
