Mild Pranks That Are Sure to Get a Laugh
76
Pranks, practical jokes, whatever you want to call them, we've all been the victim at least a few times and a most of us get an itch to be the perpetrator from time to time. Here are a few ideas that are bound to get some laughs-and maybe some annoyed glares-but won't really hurt anyone or anything.
Glitter. The very thought makes moms and preschool teachers cringe. It's so easy to spread and so hard to get rid of. Anywhere it is placed is sure to be noticed. I went camping one year and all the guys left their shoes right outside their tent door after they went to bed. Before they woke up in the morning I had kindly sprinkled a layer of sparkly silver glitter inside their shoes. The teenage guys walked around with a little extra sparkle for quite some time. Not only did it stick to their shoes, but it spread to their hands and clothes and faces as well.
Water. There are plenty of things to do with water with just a little creativity, but here's one that I've been both a victim and a culprit of. My friends came over to my house to spend the afternoon with me. At some point they had taken a rubber band and tied it around the separate side spray hose faucet on the kitchen sink. Later when I unknowingly turned on the water, instead of it coming out of the main faucet as a downward stream draining into the sink the way it always did, it sprayed all over me from the side spray faucet.
Voice. Oh the things you can do with your voice. Besides prank phone calls, there are other creative ways to use your voice. One that I've been tempted to do (and told many friends about), but never had the courage to do takes place in dressing room at a store. If you think about it, dressing rooms are a lot like public bathrooms-a row of small enclosures that people go into individually. I read once that you should go into the fitting room, wait several minutes quietly, and then yell: "Hey, where's the toilet paper?"
