In Brescia turns on the roar of engines of the past.Thursday evening from Viale Venezia, will start the 82th edition of the Mille Miglia, the "most beautiful race in the world" as he liked to call it Enzoth anniversary of his history. Ferrari, which came to the twenty-seven

375 historical cars are registered, constructed between 1927 and'57, many of them sent specially for the race by far, as the United States, Japan, Argentina, Russia and Venezuela. Incalculable value of some cars.

The itinerary of the race is the classic: from Brescia will arrive to Ferarra (will stop Thursday night), then to Rome (stop Friday night) and back to Brescia on Saturday evening with an intermediate step in Monteriggioni near Siena. The route of this year, despite the classic route, however, presents important new features compared to 2008. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Solferino, the Mille Miglia in fact deviates for the city  theater of the conflict via Risorgimento Desenzano, San Martino and Solferino Pozzolengo. Among other innovations, transit, with special test on ramps of Terminillo to same and the center of the historic city of Parma and Cremona on the way back. Confirmed the historical steps up the Futa and Raticosa. Between passion and spectacle, this year's Mille Miglia has also decided to mobilize in favor of Abruzzo with a collection money for the construction of educational facilities for children.

For many members turn on the engines of their cars on the stage of departure represents a milestone when you consider that the crews allowed are fruit of a selection amongst hundreds of requests from around the world. The race, which is no longer clearly a race of speed, but a regularity race with dozens of time trials in which crews must pass to the control points in the time allocated to an accuracy to one hundredth of a second, crossing along the 1600 km of traveling the historic centers, normally closed to traffic (but for a mobile museum of that value you can make an exception) of cities and villages of our fascinating country. Is certainly a privilege for members to make this ride along minor roads and passes Appendices admiring from the cramped cockpits of the historic and beautiful places rich in history.

Celebrities, heroic companies, dream cars, the desire for mobility. These ingredients in the past have made millions of fans fall in love all over the world. If the Mille Miglia of the heroic times meant speed, daring and dust in the lungs of riders and spectators, the historical mean precision, skill, feeling between the pilot and navigator, which is to mark the times of passages, elegance and the memory of a time now far away but made closer by car - some examples in race are the same guided by the pilots at the time - that won in the past and that over time have become even more fascinating.

A legend the Mille Miglia that began on March 27 1927, when at the light of the sunrise the pilot of OM Nando MINOJA arrived first in Viale Venezia at the end of the historic first edition. A first seal in the decades that followed after that the most famous pilots, from Nuvolari to Varzi, until Villoresi, Ascari and Moss, that builded a race-myth that survived its enlightened designers and actors and also the stop imposed for safety reasons at the speed race after the accident to De Portago Guidizzolo in'57. This success is growing year after year, thanks to the involvement of the major manufacturers - BMW and Mercedes in the lead - that fall into the field with real crews official with a mechanical assistance and follow as if you were running a rally of modern World Championship.

Among the reasons that made the Mille Miglia famous,no doubt there is also that it's working as a "traveling museum" of history, so at the Freccia Rossa will open the doors of the most famous museums of the manufacturers and private collections for the catwalk pieces rare and jealously guarded.
