There are minerals all around. However, not every mineral have health benefits. There are about 17 minerals that have any actual health benefits. To name a few they are: calcium, boron, bismuth, iron, iodine, magnesium, copper, selenium, fluoride and potassium. Of the ones I’ve listed, magnesium, calcium, iron and iodine are the most essential to our good health.

Minerals health benefits are actually more than what people would usually think. In fact, minerals are found in the everyday things we use a good example would be Bismuth which we can find in common medications such as Pepto-Bismol. Another is Boron which we can find in various food items such as winter squash, leafy greens and a good variety of nuts. Boron also works together with magnesium as well as calcium in order to provide our body with stronger joints. Chloride is another mineral that helps bring balance to our body. It balances out alkali and acid as well as helping to relieve vomiting and diarrhea. Other minerals that are important to our well being include:

  • Copper - Helps oxygen travel better in our blood.
  • Fluoride - Is the most common mineral and its use isn’t limited to just our teeth because it also helps in stimulating bone formation.
  • Iodine - Is necessary for proper thyroid functions as well as a mineral that aids our body when it comes to burning excess fat.
  • Magnesium and Chlorophyll - Work together to make our bodies function better as well as promote good circulation.
  • Iron - Is an important mineral and has plenty of uses. Most people would know it as a supplement for people who have anemia.
  • Zinc - Has quite a number of health benefits as well. It aids in the proper functioning of our digestive system, immune system as well as improves our stress levels, healing of wounds as well as acne, control of diabetes and energy metabolism. Pregnant people can also benefit from it as well as those whose appetites have reduced. Overall a great mineral to aid in women beauty and health.
  • Phosphorus - is another beneficial mineral. It aids in the formation of bones, balancing of hormones, cell repair, excretion and digestion as well as protein formation.

Those are just some of the minerals that we consume everyday. There are plenty more and we need to know just how they help our well being. Minerals are an important part of our everyday diet and if we can’t get enough to suffice our bodies’ needs, it is recommended that we take supplements in order to make up for the lack of it. Remember, minerals health benefits are important.
