Typically a mini ping pong game is a bit quicker than the real thing which makes ita  very fast game! There is a lot of skill involved, but it is much easier to pick up and play because you don’t need to wait for good weather outside. This is especially useful if you are living in the UK like me where you rarely get good weather to play with an outdoor ping pong table!
