Exercise On A Mini Trampoline

When you start to exercise on your mini-trampoline, you should begin slowly. With this exercise you will work many muscles that are not normally used.

Start out exercising for just a few minutes on the first day and then you can build up each day. The end goal is a 30 minute session 3-5 times each week. Feel free to break up the 30 minute session however you want (into 2 or 3 different sessions). Sometimes it’s easier to fit three 10 minute sessions into your day than one 30 minute session. Whatever works for you is fine.

Below is a ten minute workout - it should be done three times during the course of the day.

Warm Up Slow Bouncing - Perform for Two minutes
High Bouncing - Perform for Three minutes
Aerobic Bouncing - Perform for Three minutes
Cool Down Bouncing - Perform for Two minutes

WARM UP AND COOL DOWN BOUNCING
Standing on the rebounder with your feet approximately 8 inches apart begin gently bouncing - keeping your feet on the mat. This gentle bouncing will start your lymph fluid moving and will flush out toxins and waste from your system.

HIGH BOUNCING
When have warmed up, you can really start to bounce. Begin jumping up and down. Don’t feel that you have to go too high. This builds muscle, endurance and strength. It also boosts your metabolism and really starts burning calories.

AEROBIC BOUNCING
Aerobic bouncing on the rebounder can be any fast paced exercise that you feel like doing. You can dance, jog, bounce, twist, or do jumping jacks. Add arm movements to your routine such as bicep curls, punches or any other arm exercise you want. You will really be burning calories at this point.

AB EXERCISES
You can also exercise your abs and back with the mini trampoline. Sit on the mini trampoline and start to bounce with your butt. Start out with your feet on the floor, if you are able to, try it with your feet straight out. Bounce for 3-5 minutes to begin with.


How To Choose A Mini Trampoline For Exercise

I made the mistake of buying a cheap mini trampoline and found that it did not hold up. The springs in the cheap ones break very quickly which can cause injury. The mats are also constructed of inferior material and you won’t get a soft bounce which can cause damage to your joints.

After learning my lesson about the cheap mini trampolines, I researched and found that the best mini trampoline is the Needak rebounder. It is very high quality with a heavy duty steel frame and sturdy springs. They have a patented Soft Bounce mat which provides you with a a soft and easy bounce.

Girls - you are going to need a good bra when you are jumping on your trampoline.  After trying numerous sports bras, I found the Bendon sports bras to be the best.  Very comfortable and well worth the money.

I love my mini rebounder. When I can't get out and walk around the block, I use this as a quick energy booster and an all over excercising tool (great for my cardio as well). It really works.
