I was astounded with a video I saw regarding this person that was cut in half by a large transport truck in a 1995 road accident. I researched online about him. The persons' name is Peng Shulin. Unbelievable though, Peng survived the ever tragic and never imagined accidental challenge of his lifetime. It was indeed a miracle that this man had survived!

According to this article in METRO dated Monday, July 9, 2007, it took more than 20 doctors in a team just to save his life. To be able to seal his torso, the doctors grafted skin from his head. After the accident, Mr. Peng was only left 2ft 6in tall. For many years, Peng grounded on his bed and his doctors were loosing hope that she could live a normal life again. However, despite his condition, he started exercising to build up strength he could use to do daily chores such as washing his face or brushing his teeth.

The Doctors at China Rehabilitation Research Centre in Beijing found out about Mr Peng's situation last 2006 and was able to formulate a plan to make him walk again. The doctors created successfully a complicated egg cup-like casing with the purpose to hold his body and attached to it are two bionic legs. Peng is able to practice walking with it on the rehabilitation centre and was very happy with it.

As I had heard from a friend, Peng is still alive and is improving though. I hope this man stay positive in his life and keep on moving forward. He is such a wonderful example of a man of courage.
